You son apparently did not have a valid visa for entry. A ticket out out of the country within 30 days is required for a visa exempt entry.
ok thank you we allways stay for 6 weeks on hoildays

That is to apply for the visa not entry to the country. The airlines do not even ask to see a ticket out of the country if you have a valid visa for entry.
I am sure you are also aware that many embassies and consulate do not ask to see the ticket out of the country.

If your son is Thai from birth you can get him a one year extension at immigration for being the child of a Thai national.
I assume you did not register his birth at the embassy in Canberra or the consulate in Sydney to get a Thai birth certificate.
hi he is 100 % aus born in aus me and my wife are australia citizen i am a kiwi by birth

Not sure but it appears the child is not his current wife's child. If they were a Thai birth certificate issued by the embassy in Australia would be needed. It is not a simple matter of of registering at an Amphoe.
hi yes he is my son he was born in aus its my wife and my only son we only live in thailand so i don,t pay tax if i live in aus i pay up to 50 cents in the dollar i work in bahrain .

The overstay stamps should not cause a problem for getting visas.
Since your child is 6 years old they could easily get non-ed visas and extensions of stay for attending school.
If you are on an extension of stay they could also get extensions as your dependent.
thank you too my son is 7 he is a aus citz he stays here with my wife when i go to work i will look into this visa for him he is going to school here my wife has a aus passport and thai passport i think one day she will get caught we were told she can,t have both

You don't need a re-entry permit since you have a multiple entry non-o visa. That is only needed if you have a one year extension of stay.
ok thank you very much

Those having trouble are applying for Tourist Visas and do not have all the required documents - proof of funds, proof of residence or hotel, and proof of a flight/bus out. If you don't have all 3, no Tourist Visa will be issued.
No changes reported for those applying for Non-Os based on Marriage, though.

Perhaps if you asked for one for retirement. For one based upon marriage there is no financial proof required.
ok thank you will be going there in 1 week

You get a single entry non-o visa based upon marriage much easier than one for being 50 or over at Vientiane and no financial proof will be needed. You can apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement with the 90 day entry from it without a problem if you decide to go that route.
ok thank i read some where is was better to go to savannakhet when we were at Ventiane they said we need to show financial proof we live near Phon so we are in the middle
