I've used stripe they are horrible they will hold your money and will also close your account on a whim. They even refunded my customers when they closed my account even after I sent them the merchandise.

Had exactly the same issue - horrible! They close an account from one moment to another for no valid reason, impossible to talk to anyone. They kept money for months on hold and paid it out after deducting some strange fees for closing the account. Never again.

  3. Hi, does anyone know if the beaches are "open"? For example the one at Cozy Beach with the sunbeds? Is it allowed to "sunbathe" there alone and support the local sunlounge sellers by doing so? Or is this all closed and not worth a trip?

  4. Hi,

I'm looking for a "normal" health insurance for my Thai gf to cover expenses in case she got sick, has an accident with her car or whatever. I did a lot of research but didn't find much useful so far. Would be thankful for any kind of recommendation.

    Many thanks,

    Joe

  5. Can confirm 2 friends yesterday drove from Pattaya to BKK airport and traveled to Phuket by plane without any issues. But today the news came out anyway that the Phuket governor has lifted the quarantine for arrivals from (inter alia) Bangkok so things should be safe. We can expect similar "news" from other provinces within the next few days thanks to the low numbers of new infections.

They just want people to have the right visa. If you are living in Thailand they want you to have a long term visa. etc.

    Exactly!

If the situation gets really bad there will be problems with the airlines because they are on the hook for a return flight so they will require thai visa's for travelers. This would be seriously hurt tourism.

I guess so far the amount of people "not let in" must be far too small compared to the amount of people that are "let in". Training and checking employes for checking proper visas and/or installing software to look this up at hundreds of airports most likely cost a lot of more money than flying back the few that aren't let in. Beside that: if you are not let in you need to buy or pay for your return ticket anyway, so the airline is not losing any money here.
