Yes the multi entry non O marriage is a ripper visa.
Some married guys in Thailand prefer to use that over the Non O marriage visa.
The latter is a single entry visa giving a 90 day permit and you then obtain 12 month ongoing extensions.
Regarding your visa you need to exit every 90 days.
That can be done with a border bounce or a mini holiday.
Personally I would take a break to Saigon. Even moreso if you are visa exempt for Vietnam.
I can see obvious benefits of it, namely no annual pilgrimage to CW (double trip at least) and no more re-entry permit booth visits prior to immigration check out.

Seems you have a multiple entry non O visa.
That visa allows entries during the period of validity (one year)
Each entry you are stamped in with a permission of stay of 90 days.
I can't see any advantage in not using it from the start.
Also confused about the one year extension you mention.
I wasn’t aware of it to be honest (that I could use it throughout the year until 2024). In this case there’s no need for me to do the extension. Thanks a lot

Hi everyone,
i’ve just got multiple entry non-immigrant type O e-visa based on marriage valid for 90 days. I can use this one until august 16th 2024.
I will be arriving to Thailand on august 21st and have few questions to ask you:
1. do you know if IO at the BKK airport has any info regarding my visa displayed in the computer system ?
I’m thinking of not using it just yet, but sometime in September on my next arrival2. Is it possible to apply for a 1 year extension at CW days after arrival or is there any time period I need to wait before I could start the process ?
all the best,
Bart

Thirty days is the standard number of days.
But if your extension isn't approved by the end the 30 days it can be longer.
Is it work or calendar days ?

Thanks guys for all replies, yet I still need to know if I can get new extension on a desired date.
Are there any rules how long "under consideration" period suppose to last ?

Hi guys,
My current extension expires on April 18th. I will be back in Thailand on March 6th and I’m going to apply for another one soon after, but I can’t wait until April 18th to get fresh stamp since I have to leave on April 13th (which is songkran holidays). Can I ask them (Chaengwattana) to have my passport stamped on April 12th just before long holidays ?
BTW, I don’t remember this from a year before - will I be able to have my passport with me after application or do I have to surrender it ?cheers,
Bart

Hi all,
Does anyone have an idea if there is a specific requirement for vaccination certificate validity needed to apply for Thailand Pass ?
Does it have to be valid at a time of application and cover entire intended stay ?
I'm flying back to Thailand at the beginning of june and my certificate expires about a week later. Will I have a problem getting TP ?

going early won't help (might not be finished) but going a few days after won't hurt you. also, your wife can pick up the stamp. you don't have to go.
Thanks, wasn't sure before, will go myself after long weekend

You could go today or tomorrow to get it if approved. If you don't do it by Wednesday it would be next week before you could do i.
So, its not an explicit obligation to be there on a day stamped in the passport. Thanks, Joe

Hi All,
I'm suppose to pick up 1 year visa extension based on marriage on December 9th at CW, just before long weekend start.
It's a bit inconvenient for me to go there on this particular day.
Would it be a problem, if I show up there a day before or few days later ?
Cheers.

Why do you think they would not accept his application?
There is no minum number of days to apply for an extension other than the day your permit to stay ends.
Hi Joe,
Good to know, I wasn't aware of it to be honest.
Thanks.

When exactly are you going to apply for 1 year extension ?
November 18 (which is exactly 2 months of having 400k in your thai account) ?
Taken into account the fact that your stay expires on nov 22nd, do you think this is doable, would they accept your application ?
I'm in the same boat as you, BTW

Can't say I know re MTT. Perhaps somebody else can help. I do know that I got my 60 day extension yesterday at CW. Good luck!
Thanks !
You haven't mentioned anything about TM30 reporting, did you do it just before applying for 60 day extension at CW or was it your landlord doing it for you ?

They might of changed but there have been reports of people going to CW for the 60 day and were told to go to MTT. And people have a applied for it at MTT.
I will try my luck at MTT tomorrow since I have already made online booking. More convenient for me to drive there, also hope to meet less applicants

60 day extension of stay obtained this morning from Bangkok Chaeng Wattana. Things to bear in mind:
1. We got there at 07:00 and there were already 102 people infront of us. They let you in, give you a ticket number and you must then locate your seat in the main foyer that has your number stuck to it on a little square of paper and wait. In our case, seats 103 and 104. We went for coffee downstairs. When they open the actual immigration office at 08:30, adjacent to the numbered seating, you'll be called through in batches. You are then given another numbered ticket which is more specific to the service you want.
2. An hour later, the immigration officer was having difficulty communicating in English and with the facemasks and plastic screen, I couldn't very hear much at all. She had to get the supervisor/ signatory to discuss with me the start date and end date of the 60 day extension. I had brought colour copies of the recent infographics that make it clear the start date is 27 Sept and the end date is 25 Nov. Once we got that bit straight, I finally handed over the money. 1,900 baht
3. With regard to our living arrangements in Bangkok - they of course wanted signed copies of the ID and house book of the building's owner. They also wanted the actual rent contract, not just copies of the last 6 months invoices for the rent. We had everything with us anyway.
4. They definitely wanted an up to date Kor Lor 2, which we'd been to get yesterday at the local registry office. We then had to pose for a photo, holding the original marriage certificate and my wife's ID card pinned to the top of it. How nice.
We were in and out in 3 hours or thereabouts. It was busier than I expected.
I was under impression that 60 days NON-IMM O visa extensions had to be done at MTT instead of CW.
Or both immigration offices are ok for this purpose ?

An application for a 60 day extension of stay for reason of visiting your thai wife / thai dependent child, is considered a short-term extension.
So that should be done at counter K.
Note: As usual Immigration uses incorrect terminology and refers to it as a Short Term Visa
Thanks Peter, I will go with this one

Yes, when residing in the Bangkok area an application for a 60-day extension for reason to visit your Thai wife / Thai dependent child, has now to be done at Mueang Thong Thani.
See attached link with confirmation of the above > https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1180512-from-amnesty-to-60-day-wife-extension-in-bangkok/?do=findComment&comment=15774644
So I'm trying to schedule appointment at MTT immigration, but can't really figure it out, which option should i choose for 60 days NON-IMM O visa type from the following list on the website:
Any suggestions anyone ?

Why not go to Jomtien immigration and ask them yourself? You're in and out in 5 minutes.
Forums are places to exchange information like OP did.
I go to immigration when absolutely necessary.

Thanks for very useful info, edwinchester.
Does anyone have similar feedback from Jomtien immigration ?
I was about to do the very same thing today as OP, but after reading his post, I just stay put
