you should have the bottom bit of the tm30 in your passport
I only have a rental contract from my landlord! I'm therefore not sure wether I anyway need a copy of the TM.30 form from him?

I need a Residence Certificate from Trat Immigration (for the very first renewal of my temp. 2-year Thai Driving License).
I found the following infos about the requirements:
...
- Photocopy of lease agreement, blue/yellow house book, letter from the landlord
- NEW REQUIREMENT: Photocopy of TM.30 form signed by your landlord
- Two 2×2 inch passport photos
- Actual passport (to confirm authenticity)
- Photocopy of the following passport pages: main photo page, visa page, TM.6 departure card (all pages must be signed)
- Completed application form of Residence Certificate in Thailand. Blank copies are provided at the office....
Source: https://www.tielandtothailand.com/certificate-residency/
Can anyone confirm wether or not it is really necessary to provide also a photocopy of the TM.30 form signed by the landlord?
Thank you!

I've successfully applied for my first extension of stay based upon retirement on December 12, 2018. My next 90-day report is due on December 26, 2018.
On the official immigration website I found the following note:
...
"5. The first application for extension of stay by the foreigner is equivalent to the notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days."
...
https://www.immigration.go.th/content/sv_90day
My questions:
1. As I understand the note, I don't have to submit a 90-day notification in this case. Is that correct?
2. Does this apply only to the very first extension of stay, or also for the future subsequent yearly extensions? -

The OP should have been prefaced with:
THIS is what I needed at THIS immigration office on THIS day with THIS official who was in THIS mood.*
I prefaced the OP with the following:
"I've created a checklist for the required documents following my research in the web:"
That is exactly what I did. It's not a checklist based on any actual experience!

Just wondering why for the last TWO respectively 3 months...
- Signed copy of page(s) showing funds on deposit for the required period (last 2 respectively 3 months)
Explanation:
For the first (initial) application one has to proof the last 2 months and for the subsequent (renewal) yearly extensions one has to proof the last 3 months.
-
But anyway one can file this report 15 days before, or 7 days after the 90-day period expires (February 7th).

On your list you might add regarding bank book a deposit on day you attend imm
It's not possible to edit the first post anymore. But also think on the case someone is having a Fixed Account Passbook. In this case it's not possible to make a deposit anyway.

Considering this is a multi-country forum, I think you have also lost the affadavit (income-letter) in your list.
For simplification the financial proof in this checklist is based only on using 800,000 THB in a Thai Bank. Sorry, I forgot to state this in the remarks section ????

Any objections against this respectively are some items still missing or wrong?

Immigration does not issue OX visas. It can only be done at a embassy or official consulate.
Thank you Joe!!

Yes they can by applying at a embassy or official consulate in their home country.
But here:
... one can read:
"On 22 November 2016, the Cabinet of Thailand approved new scheme which allows nationals from 14 countries to stay in Thailand for the maximum period of 10 years. In order to enjoy this new scheme, the applicants must apply for Non-Immigrant Visa “O-X” (Long Stay) or so called Non-O-X Visa at the Royal Thai Embassy/Royal Thai Consulate-General (when applying outside Thailand) or the Immigration Bureau (when applying in Thailand)."
As far as I understand it, it's not handled that way in practice, is it? ????

No changes that I am aware of.
Are there any news on this until today? Is it still not possible to apply for an "Non O-X extension of stay based on retirement" on site in Thailand?

The Beach......with the south east winds blowing any pollution that Map Ta Phut has to offer inland. Study done by Bangkok Hospital confirms this!

@Wim1954
I only refer to post #2. It has nothing to do with a weatherstation! Nowadays in times of fake news people claim so much without stating a source... ?

You refer to a study. So it would be a good practise to also add link to this study so that everybody can check this!

Many thanks to all the posters of this topic! I really appreciate the collective knowledge and helpfulness in this forum ?
So let me summarize what I've learned: I've to apply for the extension during the last 30 days of the new one year entry stamp I'll get on my last entry before my present visa expires.
That means if my last entry will be the 05 January 2018: 06 December 2018 - 04 January 2019.

I'm on my first Non-Immigrant-O-A (LongStay) Visa. The Visa was issued in Germany by the Thai Consulate General in Frankfurt and it is of type "M" (Multiple Entry). On the Visa the "Enter Before" date is the "17 January 2018".
I've been advised in this forum that it would be best to re-enter Thailand again at or shortly before the "Enter Before" date to get another 1 year of stay for free. So I'll do that ?
My question:
Let's assume I will re-enter Thailand on the "05 January 2018".
When do I have in this case to apply for the later extension of stay based upon retirement issued by an immigration office in Thailand?
Do I have to apply for this still before the present Visa expires (17 January 2018) or only before the new 1 year period ends (04 January 2019)? -

Posts 6 and 7 are irrelevant. The OP is seeking a retirement visa. If he wanted someone else to drain his bank account, he would be getting a marriage visa.
Nevertheless I'm thankful for this posts too, because my German wife and I have unfortunately opened a joint account here. So I understand we have to split this account again to go for sure :-|

I'm on my first Non-Immigrant-O-A (LongStay) Visa. The Visa was issued in Germany by the Thai Consulate General in Frankfurt. I'm now in Thailand and the date of the Entry Stamp is the "13 July 2017".
My question:
Does it not matter when I apply later on for an extension of stay based upon retirement issued by an immigration office in Thailand whether the money in the Thai Bank is on a Savings Account or on a Fixed Account? -
I was now at the Immigration in Koh Chang for clarifying. The officer explained me that I only have to do the 90-day report. An additional report shortly after entering Thailand is in my case not necessary.
Thanks a lot!

Thank you for clarification @elviajero!
@JackThompson: I've to report to Trat Immigration Office for Koh Chang. I'm not sure whether my landlord has submitted a TM-30 for me. Is Trat (Ko Chang) also an area of enforcement?

New Requirements for Residence Certificate?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

As far as I understand it, the landlord is obliged to report the TM.30 to immigration and to hand over the bottom bit to me as the lodger? Is that right?
