  1. Althoughdone in my homeland, around 2008 & 2010 I received 4 molar implants in total; 2 in the left jaw and two in the right jaw. For the right jaw some artificial bone had to be applied to create a firm base there.

The only "problem" I had was that one screw holding one crown on the implant loosened twice since. The second time that happened, I retrieved the implant type/make and the torque with which it should be tightened from the homeland implantologist, and got it re-tightened in Thailand 3 years ago. No issues with that eversince.

The root cause has nothing to do with roads, cars, bikes or Police.

It is all to do with the people.

True. I noticed again today that the car drivers tend to drive their cars the same way the drove theit motorcycles/scooters before. it is amazing that a govenrment is not able to think off and implement a strategy to reduce tha overall accidents on Thai roads. Start with proper roads, all equipped with proper lighting especially in rural areas, followed by proper driving education of both motorcycle, car and truck drivers. To me it all boils down to human behaviour of the participants of the Thai traffic but also of the people that are trained to enforce.

  3. Being in the LOS since winter 2016, no problems with rules involved, however, the Covid-19 rule allowing the 90 report to be extended to 31st of July confused me as to the stampede and horror waiting times at immi on the 31st of July I envisioned. So my due date for the 90 day reporting was on April 14th, 2020 and if I would go to CR Immi tomorrow to report the 90 days, would that be accepted or would that be treated as overstay? In that case I need to sit my time out until July 31st and undergo the expected longer waiting time?

    Appreciate your valued advise.

  4. On July 8th this year I left for NL from CR, without notifying Immigration/police on forehand as I never did before. After returning last friday afternoon my wife and I popped in at about 3:10pm, the IO requested my passport and my TM6 and she send me off with a new date for the 90day reporting. No forms and no need to show the blue book or my wife's thai ID, although available on demand..

I am not 100% sure but I believe the Dutch Embassy office did gross income. They ask for tax forms and these show gross income. BUT I havent done it for years so I can't be sure.

That is a NO-NO. Having done it for this and last year, the Embassy writes the Nett figure in the affidavit. Makes sense to me as one can only spend the money one receives in the account, which, in case of pension, nett income, unless one has a tax-exempt from his/her country of origin.

  6. Last year I managed to get my income statement by mail--> see link:

    https://www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl/actueel/nieuws/2017/05/11/inkomensverklaring-wijzigt-in-visumondersteuningsbrief

There u will find the different ways to obtain your income statement.

I used the mail option: transferred 50euro from my Dutch bank account and had my income statement delivered in about 10 days.

  7. Living in a village close to Chiang Rai for a year now,  my Thai wife and I recently went to CR Immigration to request a change of my Non-O into a Marriage visa, officially called: "Support Thai Wife". We brought all the required documents in 2 sets and walk up to the counter and after inspection of the docs the IO explained to us that the request was accepted and that it would be send to CM immigration as they would check of my status. At the same time he warned/explained to us that having met all requirements it will not automatically mean that the request will be granted and the visa will be changed.

He further explained that with the request being denied, my Non-O will be cancelled and that I will be given 7 days to leave the country so I can obtain a Marriage visa or a Non-O visa in my home country (NL). It was also stressed to us that obtaining a marriage vis in NL would need to verified once back in Thailand and that also could be denied....

In short: I have decided to extend my Non-O next week to make sure I can stay with my wife.

Has anyone experienced this as well and is this common practice when changing the Non-O to a marriage visa?

Thanks in advance for your replies!
