  1. Was a bouncer at one of Jimi's concerts in UK.
  2. No surprise there, since they are lucky to earn $500/month in the Philippines.
  3. And Thais can speak Tagalog? Stupid argument.
  4. Bull<deleted>. I've lived in the Philippines 27 years and put 2 kids through the Philippines private school system. Your comments are total tosh.
  5. I had some Italian food in Pattaya and a few hours later started vomiting with the back door trots. I went to a hospital, where they put me in a bed with a drip ( hydration) and gave me an injection. I was able to leave in the morning and travel to Bangkok for my scheduled flight. Doesn't sound like food poisoning to me.
  6. Can't get the figures to tie up. Curb new infections to 1,000 a year and deaths to 4,000? How can 4,000 die if only 1,000 infections. That may be the case now because of existing infections, but going forward it wouldn't make sense if infections are curbed at 1,000.it would also be a hell of an achievement based on recent statistics on new infections of 8,000, which they will try to reduce to 3,000 for the second half the year. So, there must be at least 6,000 for the full year. Good luck in reducing that to 1,000.
  7. How does that make for unfair competition or money laundering? These businesses wouldn't exist without foreign investment. Their existence means employment for Thais and tax collection for the government. Where's the downside. Don't attack the nominees system, make foreign ownership legal. Foreigners won't take over the country. The big Thai businessmen would never allow it.
  8. From sensible proposal to relax hours to buy alcohol in shops to stupid regulations enforcing the same idiotic regulations. As far as foreigners are concerned, problems arise from drinking in bars, as opposed to having a quiet drink at home.
  9. I think for the Philippines, the retirement age is only 35 with a sizeable deposit.
  10. I can answer that one. Filipinos. Personally, I believe putting pineapple on pizza should be punishable by law, but everyone has their own opinion.
  11. The Kuala Lumpur Agreement of 1985 authorizes holders of driving licenses issued by the government of an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member state to drive in any ASEAN country without the need for an international driving permit.
  12. From experience I know Thai authorities accept Philippine licence. Because of Asean (Association of South East Asian Nations). A resident (not only citizen) of an Asean country can drive using their licence in another Asean country.
  13. Who would carry that amount of cash around with them in Thailand? What are debit cards for? Anyway, seeing other comments; there are two guys, two sets of circumstances, one set of photos.
  14. I read that the ruble has lost 21% in the last year, just saying.
