  1. Can't get the figures to tie up. Curb new infections to 1,000 a year and deaths to 4,000? How can 4,000 die if only 1,000 infections. That may be the case now because of existing infections, but going forward it wouldn't make sense if infections are curbed at 1,000.it would also be a hell of an achievement based on recent statistics on new infections of 8,000, which they will try to reduce to 3,000 for the second half the year. So, there must be at least 6,000 for the full year. Good luck in reducing that to 1,000.
  2. How does that make for unfair competition or money laundering? These businesses wouldn't exist without foreign investment. Their existence means employment for Thais and tax collection for the government. Where's the downside. Don't attack the nominees system, make foreign ownership legal. Foreigners won't take over the country. The big Thai businessmen would never allow it.
  3. From sensible proposal to relax hours to buy alcohol in shops to stupid regulations enforcing the same idiotic regulations. As far as foreigners are concerned, problems arise from drinking in bars, as opposed to having a quiet drink at home.
  4. I agree. I used Booking.com for my rental property as well as Airbnb; no comparison, Airbnb much better. Kicked Booking.com into touch.
  5. I think for the Philippines, the retirement age is only 35 with a sizeable deposit.
  6. I can answer that one. Filipinos. Personally, I believe putting pineapple on pizza should be punishable by law, but everyone has their own opinion.
  7. The Kuala Lumpur Agreement of 1985 authorizes holders of driving licenses issued by the government of an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member state to drive in any ASEAN country without the need for an international driving permit.
  8. From experience I know Thai authorities accept Philippine licence. Because of Asean (Association of South East Asian Nations). A resident (not only citizen) of an Asean country can drive using their licence in another Asean country.
  9. Looks like river cruise, not sea cruise liner, so Thai owner polluting their own river.
  10. Who would carry that amount of cash around with them in Thailand? What are debit cards for? Anyway, seeing other comments; there are two guys, two sets of circumstances, one set of photos.
  11. If it was in the US, 1 guess what the police would have done.
  12. I read that the ruble has lost 21% in the last year, just saying.
  13. Bet she still gets the 3 cats to take care of. The fact that portions of the inheritance were obtained or registered illegally, should not prevent her from receiving those legally acquired and owned, like cash in the bank and jewellery. The property was only 30m of the 100m. Obviously a ploy to confiscate everything, which will end in various pockets illegally.
