  1. I did my extension a couple of weeks back and the IO wanted a receipt of my last 90 day report (which I didn't have with me) before handing my passport over.

She did eventually give me my passport but warned me to have a printout for any future extensions - so just be aware that they might try to trip you up with that requirement.

He was using a camera hidden in the bag on his side, controlled with a smartphone in his hand. So he never faced the people he was filming, but appeared to stand at an angle, playing with his smartphone.

It wasn't foolproof because he was busted for filming in Nana Plaza and barred from entering the place again. I suspect that once his identity was known it was more difficult for him to operate elsewhere,

  3. It should also be noted that funds held in UK offshore banks are NOT covered by the UK's Financial Services Compensation Scheme so your cash will not have the same standard of protection it would get if you saved with a bank or building society based in the UK.

The Isle of Man for example has their own Depositors Compensation Scheme which is limited to £50,000 per individual depositor.

It's Standard Chartered Bank which is a multinational bank headquartered in the UK. It was created as the result of the merger between two British colonial banks, Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China and Standard Bank of South Africa, way back in the 60s.

He is referring to Standard Bank Isle Of Man and, yes, they are a South African Bank.

In my experience, Standard Bank were the easiest to deal with when trying to set up a UK Offshore Account.

I assume you know this brand is not registered in Thailand

Which brand? Residil for example is manufactured in Bangkok.

nor is oral minoxidil approved by Thai FDA for this purpose

No disrespect but who really cares? In reality there are lots of drugs very effectively re-purposed for uses other than originally "approved"

Minoxidil is a very potent anti hypertensive (which happens also to stimulate hair growth). The highest oral dose I find mentioned in the literature for use for hair growth is 5mg and that comes with strong caveats about use in people with cardiovascular disease or on other hypertensive medications (due to interaction and possible hypertensive effect).

What's new? The medical precautions are well known. It still doesn't alter the fact that oral minoxidil is widely used by people from all over the world for hair re-growth - and I speak from personal experience. That may go against the grain with the mainstream medical community but it is what's happening in the real world.  Have a search on any of the major hair forums and you will find that to be true.
