  1. I could ask, why do Thais in my soi walk around shirtless? They even go into 7-Eleven. So Ok they are local and only 100m or so from their houses.
But i doubt they leave the soi shirtless so same should apply to tourists . On the beach or 100m away in nearest 7-Eleven OK. But downtown in Tesco supermarket, NO. But then Walmart gets all sorts of weirdos.

Much the same can be said about walking around in BKK wearing a "wife-beater shirt, shorts and rubber thong shoes. It is after all the capital city.
Who are you to tell someone who is born and bred in thailand what to do.its got nowt to do with ant foriner to tell anybody else what ot wear .so basicly farang s should keep there neb out and be lucky they are in thailand .if you dont like people enjoying themselves go back home and stay indoors

  4. Well, you guys complain too much. Go to some of the islands in the south seas, you see lots of people walking around with no shirts on, nothing wrong with that. Just keeping cool. Do I have to wear a shirt to please you? Is that an unspoken law that I am not aware of?
Better still go to Papou nouvelle guinee you see a lot of men wearing gentleman outfitting made from a plant gourd(penis shealth) . I think they look cool. You could judge the size of the manhood so if a guy talks big you could remind him of his manhood size.
This guy in the picture is doing the right thing, chill out in a air-condition supermarket. Enjoy your shopping!

    Well said

  6. Compare the cost of living these days to that of 1987, 30 years ago. According to an online historic inflation calculator £1 in 1987 is the equivalent of £2.69 today. That means UK inflation has increased by 1.69%. If for example Thailand inflation increases at the same rate, then the cost of living in 2047 will be almost 3 times the amount it is today. If it requires 43000 baht per month to survive in Thailand today, in 30 years it will require 129000 baht per month for the same standard of living. That would mean saving 46440000 baht in 30 years, or 1,548,000 baht per year, or £35950 per year for the next 30 years. That means without being in some some sort of pension scheme, saving for old age out of earnings is going to be out of the question.
Well said .you cant keep up with the price of stuff these days .look at petrol for instance..around the durham area in england petrol is at 1.20p a ltr again its going through the roof .wages and pensions still still .

  7. I just checked, I'll reach state pension age at 68, in the year 2059.. I could be alive still if I look after myself, eat heathy and world war 3 doesn't start ..
When people say save up as much as possible .the problem many have is what do you live on then.most wages only pay to get buy week after week man .thats the top and bottom of it
