How can food be 'interesting'?  Surely you are there to eat the food and as you say enjoy the 'view', not discussing the latest politics or pension/exchange rates.  I just did not know that food had that much interest in our human thoughts.

How can food not be "interesting"? more to the point.

hmmmmmmm.  not very good is it.  and I still have not received a reply for them from about a week ago now.

I wont be using them, especially when the minimum package is 1,800 for 3 months!

Don't know what your doing..my minimum package is 380 per month.

95% of the two plus years i;ve subscribed has been great..and no deposit to lose as with true vision..

  3. Interesting..i have been using them for a couple of years, pretty much trouble free, apart from a few days of hiccups now and again.

Watched last night no issues, and just checked now and got this when i tried them:

Warning: mysqli::mysqli(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /var/www/html/core/solo-webapp-config.php on line 27

Hi, Thanks for your reply..the email might be coming today, but it did say 24/7 and these types of things mostly do work outside of normal office hours.

Will look at the other leads you gave if no email comes.

It took a phone call, but all is now sorted...no reply to the emails.

You can do this via USSD, IVR, the mobile app or web-based tool.

Activate International Service      Direct Number (USSD) *118*9#   IVR*1018  Press 9 Press 1

Deactivate International Service   Direct Number (USSD) *118*2*9#   IVR*1018  Press 9 Press 1

Check International Service status  Direct Number (USSD) *118*3*9#  IVR*1018  Press 9

Believe the IVR instructions route you to the English-language section

This assumes your phone has a local roaming partner's signal of course.

The email should result in action/reply, but maybe not until the normal workday in Thailand, i.e. Monday morning? Obviously give your number, name and at least a part of the number of the document (passport) you used to register the SIM.

  6. I didn't think i needed IR before i left Thailand, but now realise i  need SMS for OTP for my bank.

How can i activate IR from overseas..i sent 2 emails to [email protected] yesterday but have had no response.

I was told i would get an automated reply and they would activate it, but nothing has come.

I called a help line number and when prompted to press 9 for English,it instead went to a Thai language.

    Any advice appreciated.

  7. I have to spend about 7 hours at Changi airport, and being quite physically restricted i have had it suggested to me to try one of the  special lounges which you pay for.

Showers, food and somewhere to lie down apparently are available.

Any first hand recent experiences and knowledge would be appreciated.

Can you leave your baggage anywhere whilst waiting for check in,so i don't have keep it with me?

Arriving Air Asia departing Emirates,so no baggage flow available as far as i know,i have to pick it up from AA carousel and keep it with me until check in time i figure.

Any seasoned travellers have any advice please?

You want to BUY NZD (change Baht to New Zealand Dollar)?

Well that's a more ambitious undertaking.

Different from what 9x% of foreigners want to do.

Most of the streetside booths will not sell foreign currency at all.

So here I am clueless for the moment.

Not to my surprise. That's why I mentioned 5 to 10 Satang. People are smarter/better informed and booths with fantasy numbers will get a miss.

Take best rates from Bangkok, deduct (or in your case add) 10 Satang and you should get that at many places.

I am going to NZ for a few months as i did also a couple of years ago when living in Chiang Mai.

    There,i had no problem at all in getting $NZ and was able to order it ahead and they kept it for me to pick up before i departed..IIRC about 60,000 bahts worth. {Superrich exchange}

I can of course change it in NZ but what i can get here in exchange for ..eg for 100,000baht is about $NZ 4550 against  $NZ 4000,so is more than a few satang involved.

I believe today that a couple of exchanges said that they had $Aus, but this would involve also changing to $NZ later.

Any one coming to Phuket from NZ soon would be good..we could exchange at the current rate, though this is not a high possibility.

I have an SCB ATM/debit card , but seem to remember a big loss a low exchange plus extra costs last time i did that in NZ.

    Any further advice/tips much appreciated.

    Yes, Value+, that's the one.

I don't bother going anywhere else these days, they're virtually impossible to beat, and wipe the floor with the bank's exchange rates.

Thanks, I went to 8 different places today around Patong, including one Value+  but not one had $NZ which i want.

Note...not a big difference between them all on the rate offered.

I noticed when watching the video that the lovely pasty couple seemed to be coordinated in their theft dance without any need to discuss what they were doing. That indicates they might be seasoned PROS.

Yes they seem at big risk of getting caught now. Assuming they hear about the video would dying their hair and separating save them? Or does Thai immigration have facial recognition technology happening?

Do try and keep up with things if you want to make comments jingthing/

    HD Prime
Since the beginning of the month, we have had some lingering issues related to renewing the security certificate of our servers. Due to a change in specifications, it caused many issues with streaming for many customers. Today the last of these problems should be cleared up, and you should be able to watch as before. If not, please do let me know ASAP.

    Got the same email also.

    Back to normal tonight.

I'm having probs with HDPrime and emails which are normally answered quickly are not being answered.  However I've found that there is a full service including catch-up on the Thai servers A, B and C.  Nothing works on the European servers and the Asia server.

Thanks a lot...i just tried the Thai servers and got the system working there..

Will see how that pans out tonight.

Teatimetv appears to have gone for me too. HDPrime I had problems with but if you clear your recent browsers cache then all should be well.  Now works for me across different browsers

I had a few issues with HDPrime over the past few weeks. I would email them and they would get back immediately and have it sorted.

But,as of 3 nights ago i have not been able to get any programes and only this as per OP;'Cannot load M3U8: crossdomain access denied'.

I have sent 2 emails, but no response at all, have cleared caches, re booted routers, all to no avail.

Hoping it comes back,as it does have most of my favourite progames.

phuketshuttle.com booking taxi service comes highly recommended by many Phuket forum members.

Thanks they quoted 900 baht  is this a fair fare IYO?

  17. Sorry if this has been done already, i can't find anything recent here.

Have an elderly friend arriving Phuket on Friday middayish and has to get to Kata Noi. Is a taxi service easily available at the airport and do they have meters or just a set fare? Uber? do they do this job? A van is available i am told but heard horror stories of visits to sellers along the way. IS this van a good way to go IYO? Any info much appreciated to pass on to my old mate.
