I use Ladda Dental Clinic on first floor of Nana Square Building on corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 3. It's a small shopping complex right on the corner, with Starbucks, Burger King, etc in the building. It's not the bars, go-go complex on Soi 4, which is on the opposite side of Sukhumvit.

We also use Ladda and she is excellent and at a good price.

Have also just moved into Trendy .... it's a good place to be.

Well worth the wait and we got a generous compensation, too.

Trendy is a great location and the studios are fine.

They're small but fit out well and look good when finished.

Good place to live or let.

But the 3m baht bargain offer units are in the darkest corner with an immediate "view" of another building....dismal !

GA has offered 5% compensation (First offer was 2.375%) on the deposit amount backdated to September 1st 2006 up to date of inspection.

The unit is still incomplete with 26 defects and so we have rejected the offer as being unnacceptable.

Has anyone had any more success with money ?

lockable boxes for possessions whilst using pool or gym.

Have just visited Trendy 7th floor unit.

Unfinished !

No change since July.

No floor or kitchen unit as yet.

Impossible to transfer on this basis.

They say 80 people have already transferred and 10 have moved in.

I made an appointment to chat to Grande Asset to voice my concerns and discuss compensation.

They say that a compensation package is being drawn up at the moment.

For anyone else planning to do the same, their office is on 5th floor of the Westin Car Park Soi 19.

One new feature affecting floor 7.

There are rows of security lockers as you exit the lift.

I agree that they are needed, but it ruins the visual effect of the glass area.

I saw our 7th floor unit on September 8th.

Still no floor or kitchen area , so very much unfinished.

Other floors ( except very top) are ready to inspect and transfer.

The new transfer company seems efficient and they have a short term time schedule to work within for project completion.

Very apologetic about delay and advised contacing Grand Asset re compensation.

I was assured that the gym/swimming pool etc will be complete by mid October.

Communal areas seem very well finished and shopping mall starting to be fitted out.

Family Mart up and running at entrance.

Very much more positive in my opinion.

Received today from Grande Asset, 27/08/07 when asked when 7th floor Trendy Units would be completed.........

"Please let me check with the project consultant and get back to you. It shouldn't be long as we have already completed most of the units on 8-16/Floor. We should be able to send out a notification letter to you by the beginning of next month.

Does anyone have an update on Trendy's construction progress and completion ? We live inLondon and are still being told April 06 ! Has work stopped completely ? Thanks

I inspected a 7th floor studio on April 9th ...absolutely no change since we saw it on January 3rd !

There has been some development to the swimming pool area and all shopping mall units are now glazed, but progress on the residential side is minimal. Shopping entrance is complete with escalators. Very few workers on site.

Grande Asset staff gave me, too, a run around sales chat about the positives of "trendy".

They now say completion by middle of the year.

For what it's worth, I'm e mailing them weekly

and have had a lawyer's letter drafted to ask for an updated time of completion.

Would be good to hear from anyone else out there.

I was told that the lower residential floors will be finished last, but that was Jan 17th 07

They are not responding to e mails.

The communal areas are unfinished as of 3rd January ...but work is continuing all the time.

Shopping mall is glazed and looking more like.....

We inspected our unit on floor 7, where the windows, Kitchen area and floor are incomplete.

The promise for a finish date was April 2007 and they laughed when I suggested July !!

Personal observations:

The neon 'Trendy' arch on the roof just got installed today. Cladding over almost the entire building, and I think the top half of the tower has its final surface done. Glass in all the upper half windows (pool level and above. Not sure if glass goes into the lower levels or if this is all carpark). They appear to have stopped digging up the sidewalk in front. Some lights have already been installed on the front of the building (probably silly - it is still very much a building site so why install finishing touches when they are going to get filthy at the very least?). At least one and probably both cranes are gone and they are no longer carting away debris by the truckload. It might end up a shiny new building but I still prefer mine even if the lifts are slow

Thank you very much for that photo. My condo is one of those with a big balcony, you will be able to see my BBQ's very easily. We will be practically neighbours.

I really apreciate that Stub, its hard to keep an eye on progress from Australia. It looks like it has progressed very well in the past 4 months. About time.
