  1. Hi, I have a 3 month ED Visa for a 3 month internship.

My return ticket's date is not within the period of validity of my visa, because I plan on going for a visa run after the internship, in order to spend 1 more month in thailand as a tourist.

Is it possible that the airline company will require me to show a return ticket at the airport ?

If so, would the fact that the date is beyond the validity limit of my visa be a problem ?

I'm concerned about being denied boarding...

Since you will be entering Thailand initially with a visa, the airline should not be concerned about onward flights out of Thailand at that time. When you return to get a visa exempt entry, if returning by air, you ought to then have an onward flight out of Thailand within 30 days (though for a short flight inside the region this may not be verified). If you cross to another country and return by land, no onward flight out of Thailand will be needed.

Thank you for your answer, I hope everything will go smoothly.

  3. Hello,

I have a 3 month internship in Thailand, after these 3 months I would like to stay 3 more weeks as a tourist.

The ED visa is 3 months, so I intend to leave the country for a couple of days and then come back (this would allow me to stay 30 more days with my french passport).

Would there be a problem when the flight company will see that my return ticket is booked after the end of the ED visa ? Do I have to buy a ticket to Malaysia for example, before I go to Thailand ? What about the immigration agents when I arrive in Thailand ?

    Thank you
