  1. For me without considering the good end I also have same with my Thai wife and her friends some questions on the total.

As we have seen sketches and movies from inside the cave we are wondered and have a lot of questions in this.

    1. Why when shelter for the rain go inside the cave almost 4 km. Considering:

In the cave there are very narrow passages where you have to climb up a slope and crawl through narrow slits to get to the far end.

When shelter for rain normally you would stay near the entrance and not wander deep inside.

They did pass at least 5 chambers and did pass throught almost impossible slits inside the cave.

    Also as they missed:

    a. Climbing gear.

    b. Warm clothing

    c. No lights or lamps with them etc.

When they were found the clothes from the kids were in a state like comming from the cabinet at home. They did not change clothing almost 2 weeks and were in a muddy surroundings.

When in a wet surroundigs your clothes will never dry when wash them.

    2. Whe we take this event towards a global issue while at the same time.

    a. In thai traffic in at about 18 days almost 1200 people did die as there are at about 26000 deadly casualties a year

    b. In Sea of Andaman the boat with chinese touriste capsized with as for now 44 dead and 16 still missing.

    c. Why the governor immediately claims to make the cave a tourist hot spot.

    d. Why from Hollyshit they are already thinking to make a movie on this event

    e. How many people in Japan have to die more than the 140 up till now before the news channels shows us.

    f. With the rescue one thai diver died. Why and how and why we not hear on this anymore. It seems like it is???

    g. In Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Irak etc kids are being killed by suicide attacks by any kind of bombing. This is no more on the news.

A lot more news can be written here with more cassualties than the maximum of 12 people in the cave. Also the age difference at 11 to 16 makes me wonder. In the whole world as we discuss football or soccer teams are set up in age levels.

I am wondering the age mix and set up of the group.

As far as I know and this is the old "European" system we have groups devided in age ranges. Oh same in Thailand or it might differ slightly but this is just an indication.

    5 - 6 mini's

    7-8 F teams

    9-10 E teams

    11-12 D teams

    13 - 14 C teams

    15 - 16 B teams

    17 - 18 A teams

With good players they can be upgraded never downgraded.

  2. Overstay upto 90 days is fined with 500 bath per day.

Only issues with more than the 90 days.

Fines at 1 day mostly are waived.

This accoring the guidelines. But at 2 days overstay it will be 1000 bath to pay.

When have overstay and you know this in advance and is just one day to 2 weeks. go to your local immigration office and explain the situation. Costs 1500 bath to get extended visum for maximum 1 month.

so with less than 3 days do nothing

    See link of thai governmenet

  3. How much you need in your home country is the answer. Compare it to your lifestyle at home.

    Also depending where you stay.

Hua-Hin and Cha-am a small studio for rent will be at about 10.000 - 15.000 bath a month

Jomtien you can find from 8.000 bath up.

I know a swedish man living in Uttaradit City in a resort paying 5.500 bath a month for the room.

But water and electric are excludede. Depending on the use of aircon yes or no consider for water and electric 250 - 600 bath per month.

Hotels or else consider starting at 500 bath a nght. longer stay maybe at 10.000 bath negotionable.

Food is easy when buy a Lotus-Texso, Big-C or at the market. After 7 pm go to the fresh, ready products, fish, meat and breaad department. Food end of date up to 70% in discount.

The swedish man is living with his wife monthly for at about 900 Euro a month is roughly 34.000 bath.

I am driving in own car at about 3000 km per month using 360 - 400 liter gasoline at 39,67 bath per liter a month.

So you cannot just ask how much I need in Thailand to live.

Minimun wage is 300 - 325 bath a day. at 7 working days a month. But then it is hardly calling living

  4. Considering the Philippines but my wife is Thai so I am in family prison :)

Oh I would move to the cordillera area (Banaue, Banguet or Tueguegarao).

    Else Palawan but....

Philippines there is cool and people speak and write english better.

But they have a weird president there................

  5. In Vietnam, Laos, the Philippines they love BBQ dog. In my garden we have and hold  BBQ parties. Maybe an idea to have one yourself. Invite the neighbourhood but ask them to bring Beverages as you take care of the meat.

  6. In jomtien at the condo complex I can walk in shorts when go to the pool, gym or a shop below. When leave the complex is always am dressed with trousers and either shirt or polo. Socks and shoes. When I am in the province around the house mostly only shorts and slippers. When go out shopping in the city is am dressed same as in Jomtien.

My wife always telling me when in the province also must dress nice and complete. People not like to see foreigners with bare chest. Also can easy get sunburn, bitten by insects and get infected by touching plants trees etc.

My reply your local neighbours also walk shirtless?? Her reply yes but they are poor and locals?????? So sweet.
