I'm still waiting on medical weed and CBD... that was all talk last year, and so this current comment from Big Joke doesn't get me that excited

No tv or internet bills? Okay. That's pretty rare these days. I do.
I don't watch TV even though there is one in the house, it never gets turned on. And I pay the internet directly at 3BB or in 7/11

And what guarantee is there that mail will actually get as far as the PO box before it goes missing? I'm talking about ordinary mail, such as bills. We never, ever receive bills that are sent and simply go to whoever and ask how much is owing and pay it. Pathetic.
You don't receive bills? The only bill I get is the water and electricity bill, which is slipped into the mailbox every month. I don't have any other bills to pay

killed in 2006, the 10mil would have been gone by 2017 most likely. Back to selling roti on a street corner then, and an innocent man dead. Seems like a great plan

I got myself the PO box a couple of months ago, great decision. I was able to purchase a 1st edition book without worrying if the pesky mailman would steal it.
I have been sending things back home to England for Christmas last month, and I sent tracking items, but not the most expensive choice, and things arrived within 5-7 days which is really quite fast -

Every time I go to Bangkok, I always return with a sore throat or slight fever of sort.

I saw an accident in HH two days ago, of a Farang guy (around the age of 60) who had been knocked off his bicycle by a Thai driver. Is that in the news?

Even for me, a white male of decent privilege, after many years, the visible and wholesale lack of justice drained my passion for the place and I moved away for a break.
The plan was never to stay here though remember, it was a stop-off destination before Australia. Thailand could have made it swift and easy without the red tape. She is 18 and has every right to fly and pass through, there was no need for the BS they tried to pull, got flack for doing so, and back peddled on

LSD, the substance that hasn't directly killed anybody, and offers you a different view on life, yourself and those around you. The molecule that isn't physically addictive and which cannot be dosed each day due to build up tolerance. Lets make it as illegal as heroin

Honestly not sure where I stand on this one... I commend her for getting away and denouncing Islam and their barbaric laws but you open the gates to one... just saying...
She didn't intend to stay in Thailand, it was a stop-off destination for Australia, to which it seems she has a visa for.. You live in Thailand right? Maybe you should return home as this isn't your homeland

Nobody going to address the blood on her jeans?

I know it's mot realistic in the real world, but as a human being, she is entitled to the same rights

The cat is out of the bag now though, so one can only hope that world pressure will force them to back down and allow her to go where she intended and can hopefully live a decent life. All that awaits her back home is abject misery and probably death.
I hope this goes viral and global, as that will be the best for the situation and her

You don't need a low IQ to be content and happy with the simple things in life. Somebody who doesn't need shiny things with bells and whistles, more often than not has attained a lot of awareness and understanding of life. -

I'm laying with my daughter thankful she will never face such challenges for her own right to freedom.
Saudi Arabia is ruled by disgusting people, who stone people to death and behead them for trivial matters. The US is also in bed with such a nation at the government level, and helps Saudi Arabia whenever it can. For example, Obama set ups deal to send over billions of ammunitions as well as nuclear technology, but didn't close the deal in time. Trump then closed the deal in his current term.
Saudi, Israel, the US and some EU nations together are destroying countless innocent lives globally each and every single day.- 5

I'm not on a retirement visa as I am only 30, but do other neighbouring countries such as Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia make it this difficult for elderly expats to stay for a long duration? The money in the bank, transactions etc, seems like a lot of hoops to be jumping through

Russia and China are very important business partners and we won't see a disruption of the asbestos imports.
That is the case, but if more people knew about it's dangers, then less people would be inclined to build their roofs with the stuff, or move into houses that have it installed. Without much demand there would be less supply. But yes, this isn't going to happen soon. My gf didn't have a clue about asbestos, like most Thais she just thought it was any other building material.

Or worse asbestos. I've been here 10 years this year, and it is one of the worst aspects of living in Thailand, and most of SE Asia for that matter. 99% of Thais do not know how dangerous this stuff is, they see it to be as normal as wood. Yet a single fibre into your lung cavity can cause lung disease / cancer within a few years. If I had the resources I'd set up education to Thais on this matter because it is pretty serious, especially after a storm like this that has introduced broken asbestos into the environment. I once saw a kid walking along a beach with a broken sheet of the stuff, and then used it to sit on to keep his behind from being sandy, if only he knew..

Worst storm in 30 years, yet the government doesn't provide an official evacuation order? Says it all really...
Nice way for the tourism economy to start 2019
One thing that often doesn't get thought about in these situations, is the amount of shredded, torn and broken asbestos that is going to occur from such a storm. Thailand has a love affair with the stuff as it's everywhere, so expect fibres and pieces to be all over the place when the storm departs.- 1

You know what I mean!
Happens the world over. In the US Chris Watts not long ago killed his daughters and wife because he wanted a different life. It comes from a source of dissatisfaction of the current situation, wanting things to be different, and a total lack of empathy.

Double cut! Teachers shear student's lovely long hair AND cut grades of her friend who filmed it

The funniest part is the girl filming got her grades lessened... I have never heard of such a thing before, that is the most insane aspect of all of this
