Sept 28, 2018...Some additional notes from a friend who just went through "this years" process.

    1. There are no volunteers available to greet you as in past years.

    2. Original "Power of Attorney Form notification form for where alien has stay"      there is no Form number on the form

    3. 20 Baht Duty stamps attached to the original form Power of Attorney (2 above)  - stamps are available from the photcopy shop

In line with their consistent policy of being inconsistent they have now introduced a requirement that you must go back to immigration every time you re-enter the country and go through the address registration process, even if you have not changed residence. All documents required for the original notification must be re-executed by house owner and tenant and presented to immigration.

They had nothing in writing to confirm the time period but the officer I spoke to said "about 5 days" after re-entry.

In future I will take all original docs plus 2 copies of each.

I was not asked to produce copies of bank books/statements.

They were happy with an A4 black and white photocopy of a picture of me standing in front of the house.

  2. The checklist above is correct.  I successfully extended my retirement Visa this AM.  The only thing missing in the list was a waiver form that the Immigration guy handed me on arrival.  He told me not to bother copying it because it will be different next year.  I think I recall them saying the same thing last year. LOL.

Yes, still the same process that asks you to bring a photo and then takes a picture of you.:cheesy:
