Protectionist measure, because there is local pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Let's assume you are some percentage right, I will mention Nexuim 40mg 14 tablets costs back home as 20 40mg here in Thailand.

To make it easier 14 40mg Nexuim costs 950 baht, what protectionist exact alternative locally made medicine!? BTW even some or many Thais must buy it.

  2. Imported medications are extremely taxed, for example I buy 28 Nixum tablets box back home for about 1000 baht. While here 14 tablets are 950 baht.

Also, Xanax is locally made but invective at all, and original Xanax cannot be found. I really admire India when they got court order to produce alternative cancer treatment medicine which costs $150 per year, because gready inhumane medical corporations in US costs $65k for cancer patients treatment.

My concern why on earth imported medicine is very highly taxed in LOLies.

What type of visa are you using to enter Thailand when you do the border crossing? You have to have a visa issued by a embassy or consulate to enter at that crossing. They do not issue the 15 day visa on arrival at that crossing that you qualify for.

Who are you paying the 5k baht to? Not aware of anybody paying that much and certainly not 10k baht.

I did it the first time back in 2017 people I saw in line for immigration were sure not but nieboring counties citizens then when I handed my passport with non O multiple visa and I was told to wait to inform the supervisors in next office. Then I was asked to pay 10k even though Myanmar has diplomatic releation with my country so, I don't told my Thai private taxi driver it is disgusting and told I would only pay 5k. I later heard female voice saying Saudis have too much money.

Then I did twice for getting it done, I arrived late today and will go back tomorrow with METV 6 months knowing I did pay for one month extension which ends today.

I will pay 500 baht for one day and even my Thai friend said he will not accompany me so, all they will charge me is about 1.5k

as the rational statement hoping for the best and expecting the worst.

Maybe I will have my mobile camera on. Just guessing. Cheers

  4. I have done at least 3 border runs through this deserted border point, strangly I have not seen a single frang. I only see Laos and since I hold Saudi passport I get to pay as demanded by immigration officers 5k after discount from 10k because Thais and most people are the world think Saudis are very rich which is totally bs. I will do a visa run in five days, should I refuse to pay honestly speaking even though Myanmar has deplomatic relationships with Saudi or isn't it worth it because as mentioned up this border corss point has dirt road after crossing Thai border, only dirt dead ends with tin shops and office of Myanmar immigration officers.

There is the 1-year Non-O-ME option nearby.  But if you are not even sure which lady ...

You can get SETVs every 3 months from consulates nearby, provided you re-enter the country via law-abiding land-borders (any but Poipet/Aranyaprathet - avoid it).

You could also get an ED Visa - based on studying a foreign language (or other things, available in some areas) - which you would extend every 3 months.  That runs about 50K/yr, including payoffs through the school to immigration, to ensure you receive full extensions.

Either would be less expense (and likely hassle) than a "wife on paper" you don't love / want to support anyway.

Sorry, but a wife on a paper and a friend is much better than two options you mention with all respect.

A METV has not been available at nearby embassies and consulate since it became available in 2015. It is only issued at a embassy or consulate in your home country or country of legal residence.

If think you may be referring to the 2 and 3 entry tourist visas some people called a multiple entry tourist visa, Those have not been available since the METV became available.

In that case, I guess the only legal way left hassle free is to hook up with one of the ladies I dated and make it legal, right? Because I'm really worried and I don't want to leave LOS dead or alive.

He got the METV but was refused a multiple entry non-o visa.

    Dear ubonjoe

From reading Thaivisa forum for years I know many farang get their visa not from their home countries but from neighbouring countries.  The question how can know if I'm too will be qualified for another 6 METV from Thai embassy from neighbouring countries if I don't want to go back to my shithole country.????

  8. In the last two years the consulte in my country used to give me 1 year non o multiple visa. This year they refused but to give me 6 months MTV.
I know it sucks, and asked the visa staff what would I do because I showed him my condo title deed but still refused.
He said why don't I get a Thai wife but as we all know my atm can't offered that much not forgetting the hassle comes with it.
So, I think I have two options not more, I am serious if my stay in Thailand requires a local female why not, honestly I am not a give and take or a relationship good in negotiation. I would like to know some tips and skills to talk the lady I will choose.
Otherwise I am gonna overstay here like many who spent decades.

The British Embassy Bangkok is stopping the certification of income letters because it is unable to fulfil the Thai authorities’ requirements to verify the income of British Nationals.

As far as I know role of embassy is to verify pension income certificate issued by pension department either by stamp on certificate itself or preferably on separate embassy papers stating the authenticity of income amount shown on pension income certificate.

I wonder how British and US embassy do it.

That was not the first time that staff at the counter refused to sell an item at the discounted/marked price and certainly not the last.

    Diagnosis;

Shocked by reaction of local employee, she is right as long as new discount or new price must be repriced again so, cashier registrar can accept new price.
