Hi, does anybody know if there is a copy shop at Suvarnabhumi? I need to make new copies of my passport for a re-entry permit.
Thanks in advance.

Like this?
I think if you look at one of your stamps it looks something like this one.
No, I got my visa from Jomtien. I have never previously had an ED visa. It is a one page stamp issued from Chonburi immigration office. It wasn't issued from an embassy or a consultant outside of Thailand. You may not believe it as you probably haven't heard of it before. But there were, and probably still are, some people on the same visa. But with the all the changes now in place, I will have to leave and get a visa, in August. You did not get a visa at Jomtien. You got a one year extension of the 90 day permit to stay your now expired ED visa allowed.
Immigration does not issue one year visas. You might of gotten a non immigrant visa from them that gave a 90 day entry that was then extended for one year.
But if the one-page stamp issued to you by Chonburi Immigration looks anything like my attachment, many congratulations, you have somehow succeeded in achieving the utterly impossible since such visa stamps are normally only issued by Thai embassies and consulates in foreign parts!

I got a 15 month stamp when I got my visa. This WAS possible in Jomtien, before the crackdown. But now it isn't.

My stamp expires on August 11th (15 stamp). And this will be my first trip abroad since I obtained the visa.

I'm travelling to KL, and then to HK, about a week later. The first leg I'm flying from Don Muang, and a week later from Swampy. Are the re-entry permits easily obtained at Don Muang (I will get a double entry)? Or are they a pain in the arse to deal with?
I'm on an ED Visa.
Thanks in advance.

I know someone that went to immigration, this past Tuesday and paid ฿ 20,000, plus an extra 10,000 (4 years overstay). They threatened to lock him up or pay the extra. He choose the extra, and is now legal again. (this isn't bull!)

Either my englisch is so bad or the article is poorely written:
>Airports however are given the same allowance as before while entertainment venues which in the past were allowed to sell alcohol from 9.00 pm – 2.00 am can only do so up to midnight.
This means that in total, night time entertainment venues can only legally sell alcohol for 5 hours every day which in total is less than regular restaurants.
So this means according to the new regulations that discotheques, pubs, Bars, Karaokes etc. are allowed to sell alcohol from 9.00 pm up to midnight? That would be crazy! And that would by the way only be 3 (!) hours instead of five as stated in the article.
They used to have some odd restrictions in the UK. Last orders before 10.30 pm in a City, 11.00 pm in the County and 10 mins drinking up time.
That's changed now but we still have the binge drinking culture it produced - everyone rushing to buy last drinks and then neck them down quickly. I new people who would drink up in the City and then rush over the County line to get the extra 30 mins. Madness. The continental European countries didn't have these restrictions and didn't have the binge drinking and abuse issues Britain did. Restrictions seem to lead to more problems than they solve.
I am one of them.

I'd pay 10 grand for one if it was available.

But the dear leader says they have CC TV cameras everywhere in Thailand to monitor foreigners and it could never happen. He is a military man and has been fighting muslim terrorism in Thailand for years so if he says terrorism will never come to Thailand he would know.So if they Have CCTV cameras everywhere to protect tourists. Why aren't they protecting tourists from the police scamming tourists?

Does anybody know how man visa on arrival stamps you can have before having to get a visa.
I like going away for the weekend once a month so I am not bothered about getting a new visa. But
a friend of mine mentioned that there was a rule saying you could only do this 3 times, and then you have to get
a visa or not come back for 6 months. Is this true?

By day 4 I'm overjoyed to be leaving HK.
Wife likes the shopping there and Singapore though.
Are you joking? What can you not like about HK? I miss it big time! I would love to find a new job there and move back.

Please forgive my ignorance: Will someone please explain to me
the one big wave that came out of nowhere...how does this happen?
That is called a "Rouge Wave" It's only over the past 15-20 years have they been studied as before people thought they only existed in legends

I have flown too many different European cities with Thai, on many occasions and on all of those flights
not one of them had a TV on the back of a chair. If I had to pay for the flights myself, there is now way
I would pay for a Thai Airways flight.

I often drive to Nongkhai and Vientiane and oblige myself to stay at a speed of maximum 100 Km/hour. I notice that almost no sedan cars, pick-ups or trucks overtake me, but almost all the buses do! They often drive speeds of over 120 Km/hour and chase you away from the fastest traffic lane! These drivers should be instantly removed from the vehicle, confiscated their driving license, forced to pay hefty fines and spend some time in jail. They don't need a bomb-belt, they just have their bus! They are potential mass-murderers and to make sure that they feel like this: treat them like this! The intention to kill is as bad as the killing itself!
Most of the drivers don't even have a real driving license to confiscate anyway.

What visa do you need, can you do it on a 30 day VOA?
how much does it cost?
I would be grateful if some one could answer these questions.
Thanks.

So they are giving them training in how to speak English and how to work at an airport.
Does this mean that the had neither of the above at Don Muang?

It as all probably to do with the kings celebrations. I went to Singapore when APEC was on and was refused even a two month tourist Visa, so it could all be back to normal as from next week

easy solution, change to Hutch, they work on a completely different system (CDMA) and I have no problems.
