So, Savanakhet now asks for 400k?
Just for the 90 days based on marriage?
For the one year multiple entry. The money doesn't need to be seasoned. At least that's what I heard.

Have your photos saved on your phone or a usb stick and print your black and white photos. In case the Io doesn't accept the black and white you can still go to a nearby print shop quickly.

Thanks for that. I was in need of a farang friendly Thai exchange and stumbled upon your post. Kyc was approved in a day. App looks good, a bit low volume but ok to cash out. The credit card is a bonus.

I'm pretty happy with Roojai. App has English version. They also have English customer service over the phone. Price fairly cheap with options to reduce it further. Had one claim so far. They paid, no issues.

Your 'avin a laugh, chap......
It is probably the most expensive car park in Isaan though. They charge nearly a Thai daily minimum wage for a day's parking..
That was my point but of course not expensive for most farangs. They are running a very lucrative racket there. Understand now?

Very expensive, it's only 250baht.....
It is expensive indeed. At some other crossings you pay half of that for overnight parking. Also a hotel room in Savanakhet costs less than that ????

I have been there by car a few times. Very expensive car park but never had an issue. There are usually a few ladies at the car park full time because you pay on leaving so they won't want to miss the hefty parking fees.

Just ask the questions and the lovely people will help. Nobody wants to read an essay from a random person.

It's available based on marriage to a Thai.
Not available based on dependant Thai child.
Oh, ok. Didn't know that.

Why not do the 1 year multiple entry non o? It is available at Savanakhet for 5000thb.

I always wonder why are these suspects posing with the cops for the photos. If it was me I would refuse unless threatened by violence....are they forced to do so in Thailand? Anyone knows here?

None will give a toss or know in Thailand. Ignore those who say otherwise. On the other hand the shipping fees and times are insanely high and whatever you are trying to sell will be offered at half the price on eBay, Amazon, etc

I actually expected the same once the overnight requirement had been identified. However one of the people in the crowd when I entered into Cambodia after leaving immigration was shouting he could fix it with Thai immigration to go back the same day, which did confused me. It could be I misunderstood or his English was not accurate or none of the above. However the sheer number of people trying to get attention for commerce was a bit overpowering and difficult to really have a sensible conversation with a crowd.
At the end of the day even if the overnight issue was fixed, unless all the other issues were fixed with Thai immigration I was still going to have the same challenge with the immigration supervisor - I am speculating here, but she was more likely looking for a week or two in Cambodia - The one overnight didn't impress her at all. Also I think in retrospect staying one night in Poipet is probably a small price to pay if it could guarantee re-entry to Thailand with a Visa Exempt. Unfortunately these probably might be two separate issues.
There is no rule that you can't re-enter Thailand on the same day. It is a Cambodian rule that you can't leave the country on the day of arrival unless you are in a tour group. They try to confuse you by blaming the Thais knowing that you can't ask them on the other side of the border. All they want is 300 bahts and they will let you back. It can be overwhelming with all those conmen around though... At other border crossings (Chong Chom for example) they are more upfront and the Cambodian guards will ask you straight away if you want to return to Thailand same day and will charge you accordingly.

Thais will let you back in on the same day. To my knowledge Cambodia has a rule that if you are a solo traveller (not in a tour group) you must stay at least a night in Cambodia. The Cambodian border guards usually charge 300 Bahts to 'exempt' you from this rule.

Hope you get the passport back today. Next time try Xayyaseng guest house if you want to save money. It's ten minutes walk to the embassy and they only charge 200thb or 100000 kip a night for a clean Aircon room. I stayed there last month.

No I did not, I doubt they would care.
You should report the seller. eBay certainly would look into the matter. They tend to favour the buyers in disputes.

Depends on the insurance. On mine I had the option that named drivers only, anyone with a licence or anyone over 25 with a licence. Best check.

The parking is open but more expensive than a hotel in Savannakhet. They charged me 500 bahts for two nights parking.

In our area the cremation at the temple + monks costs around 15000. They will spend another 80-100k for the 2-3 days of drinks and food at the house. Most of it should be covered by the 2-300 bahts given by friends and other visitors+ the 50 baht village insurance thingy. Also most of them at the villages have life insurance policy. All in all they usually end up in profit especially if a farang pays the already paid bills.

Best to go to Savannakhet. Got a multiple entry non o there last week. No financials required, didn't have to show any money just pay the 5000thb fee. Also on the border they don't ask for vaccine certificate anymore, the Lao guards don't even wear masks. Don't book hotel on Agoda, there a few within walking distance to the Thai consulate 200thb/night.

Clearly the government hasn't delivered on the election promises so now have to spice things up with a good old nationalist crap just like in Russia, Hungary, Cambodia, China or North Korea.
