  1. Sorry to "steal" this topic but I have a similar question...

I'm currently in Cambodia and plan to go back to Finland next month, I have a paid ticket from Bangkok but I was thinking to stay in Bkk two days before my flight. I had a non-O visa which ended 2024/10 after that I had 60+30 days visa exempt+extension till end of January.

Will I face problems at Don Mueang? Or am I just getting paranoid?

  2. Planning to apply single non-O visa but what is the differece between Vientiane and Savannakhet. Other mentions certified copies and The other just copies. Signed by my wife means certified

    Vientiane

Documents of Thai national: a marriage certificate or a birth certificate, a passport, a Thai ID Card, and a house registration (or their certified copies)

    Savannakhet

Original and a copy of marriage certificate (for spouse/parent) or birth certificate (for child).
A copy of Thai identification card (for spouse/parent)
A copy of passport (for spouse/parent)
A copy of Thai House registration

  3. I got a non-o visa based on marriage (one year multi) from Savannakhet last year.

Now it is about to expire. I am planning to apply extension of stay based on retirement.

Because I don't have enough funds I need to use agent in Pattaya.

How does this "change" happen? How the proctgoes goes? How much it will cost, I have a Bangkok Bank account (opened in Chiang Mai, if it means something). How many weeks before should I contact agent before my current visa expires?

Thanks for your help in advance!

  4. I know this question is almost impossible to answer but I'll ask anyway. I'm now in HCMC and will be leaving tomorrow. Just wondering how likely they will check I'll have enough funds (20.000thb) at the airport (Don Mueng). I just got my visa multi non-o based on marriage. Passport is pretty empty and I'm from Scandinavia...

I just don't like to take out too much dongs with me...

  5. I'm sorry asking the same question most likely asked before but couldn't find the answer ????

My wife hasn't the marriage certificate with her. Just wondering has she have to visit her home/home amphoo or is she able to get the certificate from nearest amphoo office?

Also should we apply this 60 days extension from my wife's hometown immigration office or is it ok to visit the one which is nearby?

Cheers and thank you in advance...

  6. My mother is 87, my grandmother lived 99 years old and her mother lived 104 years old in the region where I'm from. They eat and ate basically the same what I had in my home country. They didn't smoke neither do I.

I basically can't enjoy the food in Thailand knowing what it is...

I'm constantly thinking moving out and most likely will in the near future!

  7. In my home country somewhere back to Scandinavia and Lapland I used to pick up berries: blueberries, cranberries, cloudberries, lingon etc, etc. Also I hunt a bit: moose, some birds. Fishing was my dearest hobby, I had my fridge always "full" of trouts, greylings and many other species. Also every autumn mushrooms were my enthusiasm. Near arctic circle it wasn't that easy to grow vegetables but some I did manage to grow...

So all in all, food was non-poisoned. Now in Thailand I have started to think what I eat, mainly food with full of chemicals and antibiotics. I don't want to eat that kind of food. I don't see any other option than moving back to my home country where food is clean and there you know what you eat!

Do you have similar thoughts? I am getting old and still want to keep my health!

  8. Hello there,

just joined the community and a newbie here so please forgive me asking questions maybe already answered ;)

I am married to thai, been several years. I recently came to Thailand just a purpose to stay a month or two but things have changed and I will have some more free time in the future.

Currently I don't have any visa, just staying based on visa exemption rule for 30 days.

If I will travel to Savannakhet and apply family visa there, is this possible. I am just asking this because it is the first time to apply family visa and I have heard "rumors" that the first visa of this kind has to be applied in your home country.

    Thanks...
