This thread will be a great test to see if the old white males who defend other old white males for overstaying/immigration offences do the same for a Syrian.

Sure Sambo, I'll give it a shot just for kicks.  Let's see...  Ok the thing is that apparently this Syrian isn't the brightest bulb on the porch, that's a given, but that he ever was allowed in is a problem in the first place. Syria offers exactly zero benefits to people from other countries, certainly not to those of other faiths. Fortunately the dimwit is now detained since everyone knows this refined gentleman is a potential candidate for some misdirected adventures in beheading. Whereas the old white men who overstay basically deplete their net worth in Thailand until they're drained and become a nuisance at which point they are ingloriously pitched.  These old white men likely paid taxes during their productive years that support the underprivileged of the world who attach in vast numbers to their home countries like velcro. Their home countries support a ton of Thai (and Syrian) kids in schools and proffer welfare benefits far beyond the public services that SE Asian haunts make available to these men while fumbling around in their twilight years.  How's that Sam? Hope I've risen to the occasion and haven't let you down in my defence of old white men since it's a vastly different relationship with Thailand for a Syrian isn't it?

Might not be strictly fetish, certainly not for everyone. Might be orientation no less valid & real than being strictly straight or being gay or bi or asexual or whathaveyou.

I'm gay, my brother is str8 and a childhood friend came out to me late in life as pansexual or gamp (those who luvs the ladyboys) though myself & our friends thought him str8 all these decades (as he also luvs the ladies). Outside of who we love, with regard to orientation, I can't tell the difference between the three of us.

It makes sense with regard to humanity and its socializations, that for everyone is someone. That as some people are born intersexed (born with outside physical aspects of both sexes) or that some are born with unseen brain structures that don't match the seen physical sex of the bodies they were born with (this has been shown in autopsies of trans people) other people are born who are naturally attracted to them.

Recent scientific studies bare this out.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26498424

"Gynandromorphophilia (GAMP) is sexual interest in gynandromorphs (GAMs; colloquially, shemales). GAMs possess a combination of male and female physical characteristics...

...GAMP men had arousal patterns similar to those of heterosexual men...

...Results provide clear evidence that GAMP men are not homosexual..."

So far studies seem to indicate attraction to ladyboys might be a distinct orientation within itself or a subset or the orientation of heterosexuality.

While some might fetishize some particular body part or combination ie so-called chicks with dicks, others, particularly the pansexuals, seem attracted to the person who happens to have such components. That they are oriented towards the person makes it not a fetish; it makes it an orientation.

Your post seems believable to me. My perception is that some guys are truly attracted to ladyboys because they just are, it's their nature and most of us are not.  Orientation means that it's mostly all in the wiring.

  3. No Way. Half? 10-15% is more believable and even that's because Thailand attracts people into kink after all that is what made Bangkok and Pattaya famous. Might wonder where the people were interviewed, apparently not among the circle of guys I know and I've been around off and on since the mid 80s. Sounds like somebody is making a sales pitch for them, trying to make it sound mainstream.

Atta boy Donald skrew somemore farmers

Allowing India to run over American small businesses is good? Let's just lower the standard of living in the US to that of India and do nothing about it?  Standing up to unfairness may mean "skrewing" farmers in your view but not mine.  American farmers as a group are among Trump's strongest supporters. by the way. Who do you suppose those of us who own farmland are for as opposed to Trump?

When I read of people being scammed by others in this way, It doesn’t matter where the so called scammers are from, and there are a hell of a lot of westerner scammers here too, the well known phrase always comes to mind, it’s impossible to scam an honest man. An honest man would turn down an offer so huge that it must be considered illegal, a dishonest man would and does, just think of the rewards no matter what.

this guy “big joke” really is living up to his name, as, having a blatant rascist in charge of immigration is really not the best way to encourage people to come here.

It matters, funny that so many of these scammers fit a certain profile and Thais are supposed to pretend it's not true just because that's somehow bad ?

So they parade the african guy around as the big fish while it turns out that most of the scammers involved are Thai... again xenophobia at its best.

How do I unsubscribe from news about the biggest joke of all?

There are three scammers in the photo, didn't you notice?  He's the famous one whereas the others are people nobody has every heard of. So there is nothing wrong with pointing him out and I don't see it as xenophobia. He had a sinister role to play in this scam as well, recruiting  young people into joining his scummy dirty tricks.  He deserves to be put on display.

Says absolutely nothing other than a load of waffle about doing "something" while reinforcing the blatant racism Thailand has towards black people.

Just the opposite, Thailand was too open to visitors from Africa early on. I've been visiting Thailand since the mid eighties and there truly has been a growing scourge of bad actors from Africa pulling stunts in Thailand and that's undeniable. I hope I never see Thailand allow cancer tumours to metastasise like the many areas in the US that are basically criminal hell holes. Thailand is not PC   That should be the only legitimate concern, period

Strange how those that vote Brexit believe its a great move economically, yet the prospect of a softer or no Brexit sends GBP up relative to world currencies. I'd expect a revival if May's deal gets through the commons ... a long transition period and no over the cliff exits.

There wouldn't be any "over the cliff" effect on the GBP with a clean Brexit. England has done quite well without Brussels over the centuries. We disagree in English, not German by the way. GB would be diminished under rule of Brussels and what a loss to the world that would truly be.

Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins in the movie Dark Shadows

    Carolyn Stoddard: You're weird.

Barnabas Collins: But do you think me too weird for a woman of this... land?

Carolyn Stoddard: You obviously mean Vicky.

Barnabas Collins: She has the most fertile birthing hips I have ever laid eyes upon.

Carolyn Stoddard: You're way too weird.

Barnabas Collins: Do you really think so?
