"Folks" is a word rarely used in our common vernacular except somehow popular in democrat talking point hoopla. The correct and moral position our duly elected President Donald J. Trump is to seat a new Supreme Court Justice as is his duty. Reuters' undeniable left wing tendency is to poll heavily among their democrat ilk meaning it's the same old winger spew as always for decades. Dismiss the democrat gaseous drivel and FILL THE SEAT. This is what the left would do in their dreams if only those pesky voters of the United States of America had entrusted them with that power but American voters did not. Instead the will of the people was asserted via votes that empowered an elected Republican majority in the Senate and the President. Voters knowingly and wilfully slammed the brakes on the democrat agenda. Period. It was the left's arrogant messiah Obama who so famously and smugly said, "Elections have consequences". Ohhhh but when they lose the approval of voters it's suddenly "immoral, unfair". Just the opposite, the immoral, hypocritical, deceitful, shameless and unfair, dirty tricksters are the American left. We should never forget how cruel the left was to Judge Bork, their below the belt smearing of Clarence Thomas and their scary, revealing, politburo treatment of Gorsuch during confirmation.
There is a deeper ugliness in the American left and people see it more clearly than at any time since their Jim Crow era heyday. That's why Trump is gaining far more votes among black, lifelong democrat Americans than any President in my lifetime, same goes for Hispanics. Trump even won in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, will possibly even win MINNESOTA which means a seismic shift in the political landscape of the USA. Now it's the Supreme Court, of course the left is unhinged. Completely reduced, self immolating desperadoes, just look at their candidate Biden, an antique who can't complete a sentence, a doddering codger, a forgetful fossil who can't repeat a 10 word democrat buzz phrase, a bird legged geezer stooge of China, a sniffer of children, a touchy feely kind of diaper drizzling senior, the chosen presidential candidate who forgets what state he is in and thinks he's running for senate, a plagiarist of Neil Kinnock of all people, a copycat of Kennedy word for word, a low IQ lying lobcock, the left's very own dog-faced pony soldier.

This thread will be a great test to see if the old white males who defend other old white males for overstaying/immigration offences do the same for a Syrian.
Sure Sambo, I'll give it a shot just for kicks. Let's see... Ok the thing is that apparently this Syrian isn't the brightest bulb on the porch, that's a given, but that he ever was allowed in is a problem in the first place. Syria offers exactly zero benefits to people from other countries, certainly not to those of other faiths. Fortunately the dimwit is now detained since everyone knows this refined gentleman is a potential candidate for some misdirected adventures in beheading. Whereas the old white men who overstay basically deplete their net worth in Thailand until they're drained and become a nuisance at which point they are ingloriously pitched. These old white men likely paid taxes during their productive years that support the underprivileged of the world who attach in vast numbers to their home countries like velcro. Their home countries support a ton of Thai (and Syrian) kids in schools and proffer welfare benefits far beyond the public services that SE Asian haunts make available to these men while fumbling around in their twilight years. How's that Sam? Hope I've risen to the occasion and haven't let you down in my defence of old white men since it's a vastly different relationship with Thailand for a Syrian isn't it?

Stupidity isn't an excuse for a crime.
That's not a bad point and should be applied to the quarter million or so(?) Thais having either overstayed in the US or planted anchor babies who are counted as "Americans". Their children are pampered and educated at falang expense. Oh but that's fine and dandy.

Might not be strictly fetish, certainly not for everyone. Might be orientation no less valid & real than being strictly straight or being gay or bi or asexual or whathaveyou.
I'm gay, my brother is str8 and a childhood friend came out to me late in life as pansexual or gamp (those who luvs the ladyboys) though myself & our friends thought him str8 all these decades (as he also luvs the ladies). Outside of who we love, with regard to orientation, I can't tell the difference between the three of us.
It makes sense with regard to humanity and its socializations, that for everyone is someone. That as some people are born intersexed (born with outside physical aspects of both sexes) or that some are born with unseen brain structures that don't match the seen physical sex of the bodies they were born with (this has been shown in autopsies of trans people) other people are born who are naturally attracted to them.
Recent scientific studies bare this out.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26498424
"Gynandromorphophilia (GAMP) is sexual interest in gynandromorphs (GAMs; colloquially, shemales). GAMs possess a combination of male and female physical characteristics...
...GAMP men had arousal patterns similar to those of heterosexual men...
...Results provide clear evidence that GAMP men are not homosexual..."
So far studies seem to indicate attraction to ladyboys might be a distinct orientation within itself or a subset or the orientation of heterosexuality.
While some might fetishize some particular body part or combination ie so-called chicks with dicks, others, particularly the pansexuals, seem attracted to the person who happens to have such components. That they are oriented towards the person makes it not a fetish; it makes it an orientation.
Your post seems believable to me. My perception is that some guys are truly attracted to ladyboys because they just are, it's their nature and most of us are not. Orientation means that it's mostly all in the wiring.
-
No Way. Half? 10-15% is more believable and even that's because Thailand attracts people into kink after all that is what made Bangkok and Pattaya famous. Might wonder where the people were interviewed, apparently not among the circle of guys I know and I've been around off and on since the mid 80s. Sounds like somebody is making a sales pitch for them, trying to make it sound mainstream.

Allowing India to run over American small businesses is good? Let's just lower the standard of living in the US to that of India and do nothing about it? Standing up to unfairness may mean "skrewing" farmers in your view but not mine. American farmers as a group are among Trump's strongest supporters. by the way. Who do you suppose those of us who own farmland are for as opposed to Trump?

When I read of people being scammed by others in this way, It doesn’t matter where the so called scammers are from, and there are a hell of a lot of westerner scammers here too, the well known phrase always comes to mind, it’s impossible to scam an honest man. An honest man would turn down an offer so huge that it must be considered illegal, a dishonest man would and does, just think of the rewards no matter what.
this guy “big joke” really is living up to his name, as, having a blatant rascist in charge of immigration is really not the best way to encourage people to come here.
It matters, funny that so many of these scammers fit a certain profile and Thais are supposed to pretend it's not true just because that's somehow bad ?

How do I unsubscribe from news about the biggest joke of all?
There are three scammers in the photo, didn't you notice? He's the famous one whereas the others are people nobody has every heard of. So there is nothing wrong with pointing him out and I don't see it as xenophobia. He had a sinister role to play in this scam as well, recruiting young people into joining his scummy dirty tricks. He deserves to be put on display.

Says absolutely nothing other than a load of waffle about doing "something" while reinforcing the blatant racism Thailand has towards black people.
Just the opposite, Thailand was too open to visitors from Africa early on. I've been visiting Thailand since the mid eighties and there truly has been a growing scourge of bad actors from Africa pulling stunts in Thailand and that's undeniable. I hope I never see Thailand allow cancer tumours to metastasise like the many areas in the US that are basically criminal hell holes. Thailand is not PC That should be the only legitimate concern, period

Strange how those that vote Brexit believe its a great move economically, yet the prospect of a softer or no Brexit sends GBP up relative to world currencies. I'd expect a revival if May's deal gets through the commons ... a long transition period and no over the cliff exits.
There wouldn't be any "over the cliff" effect on the GBP with a clean Brexit. England has done quite well without Brussels over the centuries. We disagree in English, not German by the way. GB would be diminished under rule of Brussels and what a loss to the world that would truly be.

Another place that has a reasonable retirement program is Sri Lanka ($15000 in a Sri Lankan bank and proof of health insurance and Bob's your uncle for a visa renewable every two years). For those motivated to look around in Southeast and Central Asia for alternatives to retirement in Thailand, Sri Lanka might be an interesting place to check out. Well, for those whose primary goal in life is something other than 'get drunk and screw' that is.I truly like Sri lanka, it's a GREAT place to adventure around in a natural environment and am always impressed by the extreme tameness of birds and animals .. I don't know of another place like it. It's fun to drive in Sri lanka, hotels are very quaint, stylish and dirt cheap as well. About the girls, they're around and available but not as easy to break the ice like it is in Thailand or Taiwan. And nowhere is easier than the Philippines in that regard as I guess we all know already. A bit more ramble: About Malaysia, it's also a great hiking biking swimming dining place with a lot of variety. Why does it have to be all Thailand or all Malaysia or all Sri Lanka? It's so cheap to pop in and out of SE Asian countries (and Taiwan) I don't see any need to stay more than 5 mo out of the year in Thailand when there are so many other places to miss out on by planting in one place too much. Pattaya and Phuket lost all attraction for me years ago, love the north in general although Chiang Mai has morphed into an overdeveloped, congested, polluted Asian city yet still love it if only for great memories. I'm more into further north and along the Mekong these days. I'm not ready to croak stuck in only one place in Asia. Some pretty good expats are hanging out in the north of Thailand to motor sickle around with, scheme chickies, cook up visa run adventures. The one good thing about the BS immigration hoopla in Thailand is that it is a good excuse to "run oft" and gets you out of the clingy chick thing ultra conveniently. Right? It's not our fault that we can't stay forever and ever.
About drinking and screwing : Two totally different things because too much alcohol just subtracts from everything IMHO.. physical fitness, time, money and doing cool things the next day. Whereas screwing adds value.

ME : "This Thai girl has excellent birthing hips"
Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins in the movie Dark Shadows
Carolyn Stoddard: You're weird.
Barnabas Collins: But do you think me too weird for a woman of this... land?
Carolyn Stoddard: You obviously mean Vicky.
Barnabas Collins: She has the most fertile birthing hips I have ever laid eyes upon.
Carolyn Stoddard: You're way too weird.
Barnabas Collins: Do you really think so?

Imagine you were a Thai immigration officer and your job is to try to admit people with legit reasons for visiting Thailand as well as to filter out undesirables. Does this guy look desirable? Far from it, he looks like trouble. That snot ring, dirty worn out T-shirt looking pretty ripe, stupid looking rapper cap on backwards ... Get lost.
