Need to buy some silk gifts for friends that sew and know fabric quite well. Planning to go to the Jim Thompson Soi 93 Outlet. Searched the forum but didn't find any recent recs. Are there any other amazing places for quality silk in Bangkok?

There are these incredibly tiny - like, less than a millimeter - bugs that I spotted in my kitchen. I've previously seen them in the lunchroom at my office.

a. What are they? They seem too small to be ants.

b. How do I eradicate them?

I am currently in Bangkok on a 30-day visa. My employer in the USA wants me to attend a meeting in Shanghai before my holiday ends. I do not currently have a China visa. Is it even possible for me to get a business visa for China when I'm on holiday in Bangkok? Before they buy the ticket I'd like a reasonable assessment of my chances.
