Can you get the chrome handle off (Allen key in the hole to the left of the nipple?) to reveal the mechanism? It could just be gummed up and liberal application of WD40 will release.

    Great advice… my thoughts exactly….

  2. Some people were not taught to clean up at a young age and follow from one generation to the next…most can learn in time but it takes constant reminders for awhile.

When we first built our (hers) house we lived out in the country outside the small village dirts roads etc. had four neighbors and now we’ve got paved roads and more homes with no foreigners in walking distance that I know of,.,

two nephews one niece ( their parents live and work in Bangkok we are in Northeast) and grandma and grandpa lived with us. I’d see Grandma walking along take the wrapper of whatever she had a drop it on the ground…. nephews did the same .. but the niece didn’t.. if I saw any throw trash on the ground I told them pick it up… they did.

I’m fairly quiet unless you push me then you got a Lion on your hands that won’t shut up. So eventually they learned… they’ll slip once and awhile but not for long.

so try to teach them and when they make an effort give them 20 baht once in awhile tell them get an ice cream or whatever..

when we were children 3 girls and 2 boys we weren’t allowed unsupervised in the family room that had the color tv a rarity in the 50s. had to put our toys up before bed … and we learned at a young age.

  3. Good on you Rooster… I enjoy the daily vlogs not a great deal of patience when reading… but watching these are Great! Thanks and enjoy the Songkran holiday…

and yes spraying a motorcyclist in face in a major no no… keeps you on the toes when out riding but

as always be alert cause some no riders don’t understand how quickly you can go down on a MC..

    cheers

  4. OZ beef is pretty good depending on the cut.Seen advertisements for higher end Thai beef but no places up here in the NE sticks.

pork ribs … boil (simmer) in water 1 home…. Make sauce with 1/3 ketchup and store bought BBQ sauce

add brown sugar add a little wasabi in the small tubes bring to boil and simmer 5-10 minutes. Meat falls off the bone and nice kick with the wasabi….

  5. Depending on how long you want to stay at different places you could hire a truck to move it for you.
Fuel consumption Honda Jazz vs Pick Up truck will be a painful adjustment you can check on google for averages.

if available a small sized pick up might be ok for loading motorcycle being lower to the ground. Getting a motorcycle loaded/unloaded on ramp could be a challenge., probably would take two

people a bit dangerous. I’ve rode up the ramp in my 20,30s but at that age body parts weren’t easily

    broken…

You could probably ask a person to help load and unload. In my experience Thais are very helpful if

needed and most the time they won’t even accept a tip.,..

Good luck to you … post some pics with you find a solution…

  6. 2 nephews live with us most the time when they were 9-10 ish would come in front door from school and drop there shorts and shirts on the floor sometimes leaving snack wrappers and soda cans on the floor. Told wife a few times to tell Mama teach them to put up things and not leave a mess in front room….

finally I picked up everything and put it on a clean trash can. After a couple days of them retrieving from the trash the stopped….
