  1. Thanks for all you replies.

Went with the ex wife to Surat Thani and successfully done the passport application.

They required my daughters ID card, her expired passport, her name in a copy of Tabian Baan,my ex wife’s name in a Tabien Baan, ex wife’s ID card and my passport.

    No form filling.

Despite Pattaya passport office advising me I would need divorce

Certificate and her birth certificate ,these were not asked for.

Pattaya office made no mention of Tabian Baan requirements, so it was lucky I took copies just in case !

    Thanks again

  2. I got my 16 year olds 1st id card last year.

My circumstances were different in that my wife had custody on the divorce certificate,so they wouldn’t issue one without her being present.

Had to go to the Amphur where she was registered on Tabian Baan.

Needed a copy of Tabian Baan with daughters name on it

Copy of Tabian Baan with mothers name on it (if address different)

    Birth certificate

    Mothers id card

This will suffice if you can take your ex wife with you.

If not, might be a bit trickier.

They are obsessed with seeing a Tabian Baan.

My daughter entered Thailand on her expired Thai passport having left England on her British passport.

Hope this is of some help.

  3. Hi

Our 17 year old daughter needs to renew her out of date Thai passport.

Her mum and I are divorced and have a divorce certificate issued in Thailand including a ‘Kor Ror 6’which states that her mum has custody etc.

The 3 of us will be going together to obtain the passport in Surat Thani or Nakhon Si Thammarat

I have read that a certificate of parental power is required (Por.Kor 14)

Is this correct,or is the divorce certificate with the KorRor 6 sufficient?

    Thanks in advance

  4. There’s a massage place in the grounds of the big temple at the bottom of Pattaya Tai (South Pattaya Road) near the crossroads with 2nd Road.

I’ve been in there a few times and it’s quite good.

Everybody is in the same big room without any screens/curtains.

They have male and female staff.

  5. I flew from LHR to BKK on 18th July at 1230.

Mask wearing was advised but not compulsory.

    About 25% were wearing them.

Took about 90 mins to get through check-in etc to my bar seat.

1 meal after take off and 1 before landing.

2 choices for 1st meal,Hobsons choice for breakfast

Absolutely nothing else offered at seat for the duration of the trip.

However, snacks and drinks were available from the galley on request.

Got through BKK immigration in 5 mins.

All desks manned but hardly a passenger in sight.

  6. I have recently had my 3 month Non immigrant O visa approved in the UK,based on retirement over 50.

I only supplied a single page for each requirement.

ie one page of a bank statement, one page of insurance etc

If you upload a second page,it just replaces the previous page rather than adding to it.

Obviously there are extra requirements for the 1 year OA.

I used a free PDF to JPG convertor (PdfTolmage converter)

There is a free 7 day trial with Adobe to combine several files into one,if necessary.

If you are applying for the 3 month one,you only need to upload single pages for each question.

I submitted all mine as JPG after converting from PDF,where necessary.

Article in UK press says many people are not getting new passports within the the 10 week period, phones going un answered or cut off when the do.

Just booked ticket home, economy was reasonable but business class has jumped to crazy levels,      3-4 k ????

Got my UK passport renewal back in 3 weeks and that included the Easter holiday.

I suggest you ask your daughter to talk to her mother about granting consent for her to get a new passport. She might have better luck they you will. You would think she would do it if she wants to see her daughter. The consent form can be downloaded here. https://image.mfa.go.th/mfa/0/zE6021nSnu/เอกสาร/หนังสือให้ความยินยิม.pdf

Immigration would not stamp here in as a Thai if they saw her UK passport.

She does not need a visa if she stays longer than 30 days. They think it cannot be extended which is wrong. She can apply for a one year extension as I mentioned before.

If she enters on her UK passport and then gets a Thai passport here she would have to fly out and back to change passports.

    Thank you
