This is why the WHO says Thai women are the second most obese in Asia. When I first came to live here more than 20 years ago, most Thai women were very slim. Very attractive. Now, the average Thai woman on Thai dating websites is about 157 centimeters and 65-70 kilos. And more than a few of these fat pigs say they are looking for a "sugar daddy."

This happened to me in Bangkok several years ago. I ended up with a deep cut in my forehead that was bleeding profusely, and I needed to go to an emergency room. Even worse, there were two cops on a motorcycle across the soi who saw the whole thing and laughed and drove away. The next day I went back with a hammer and pounded the metal sign until half of it was destroyed as a bunch of stunned shop owners looked on.

Apparently, he's also a Trump supporter and has made several videos others regard as racist or race baiting.

According to Coconuts, the girl's mother said he gave her daughter an STI. And, a supervisor at another school said the teacher was forced to resign after several instances of inappropriate remarks and interactions with students.

Doesn't every English teacher in Thailand sleep with 16-year-olds (and younger) and spend their entire salaries on beer? He probably didn't pay someone at his school some tea money for something or failed some hi-so student.

That is such freaking nonsense. Hitler is often portrayed in Thailand as a "strong leader," and Thais use these symbols to show that's what they admire. Just a few years back there was a school here that held a parade in which all the students were dressed up as Nazis. No one was expressing societal frustrations. They were having "fun." Including the principal and teachers.

Wow. Talk about overpriced. I recognize two of the women on their website and had them for half the price this 'agency' charges by just chatting them up on a Thai dating website. Glad they've been busted, seeing as the prices they're charging are a ripoff.

Which means they are also death traps to the many of us who have no choice but to take motorcycle taxis when necessary. Even if the roads were great, we're risking our lives with some of the drivers.

The poor child. Neuter the dog, as should happen with all soi dogs, and he may not be aggressive anymore. I blame the dog owner and the cement company. They should remove the dogs, but I honestly don't know what should be done with them. The BMA caught and took away most soi dogs a few years ago. Sadly, they just dumped them in some huge outdoor pen somewhere upcountry and let them starve to death. And of course they horrifically began attacking and eating each other because they were starving. There has to be a more humane solution than that.

This list can't be complete unless the Shinawatras are on it. How could he not have significant, if not most of his wealth stashed overseas when he is living overseas and in conflict with powers that be that have shown they are willing to confiscate his wealth? Even before that, when he sold Shin Corp, he used several shell companies in the Caribbean to move the money around.

Matters relating to the constitution cannot be decided by a provincial administrative court. If he won, it would have been appealed. This case will follow due process and find it's way to the constitutional court.
As it is already in a provincial administrative court, it can be appealed to the Supreme Administrative Court, which has a pretty good reputation. I am not sure in the Thai legal system how a case can move from administrative courts to the constitutional court, or if it is even possible. It's very confusing, especially to outsiders.

It doesn't have to be the final decision. He can still appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court. I hope he does.

The photos are revealing. That's actually NOT many people for a protest in Thailand. Looks like a couple of thousand at best from these photos.

Right. This is the same genius who came up with the idea of "Thaksino Jeans" to please and promote his boss at the time.

Not cascaded it down to the lower levels.
This government in six years has widened the wealth gap, got rid of all opposition and closed any avenue of protest.
Time for a change as the youth are not having any more, they are sick of the corruption.
All Thai governments have been corrupt, but some much more so than others. Chuan Leekpai was a lawyer with a very small bank account when he became Prime Minister, both times. And when he left office, he wasn't any richer than when he arrived.

I've met Anutin. I know people who've known him a long time. He doesn't hate foreigners. So, he lost his temper. He's actually a pretty good guy. I'm sure just about everyone posting here has said worse things about Thais on many more occasions than he has said about falangs on one occasion. You just have to read the posts here on any given day to see what absolute racist dicks most ThaiVisa posters are. i hardly ever comment here because ThaiVisa is such a disgraceful <deleted>hole full of Thailand-hating <deleted>.

I am going to say something that most posters here don't want to hear, but it is the truth. The online petition and the coverage in the Bangkok Post and other English-language papers were not the main reasons the government acted on this. Most Cabinet ministers don't read the English-language papers. The Immigration Police, where the petitions were sent, don't give a damn what you think. I was involved in bringing this issue to the attention of a Deputy Prime Minister. He, and the other ministers, and their staff were completely unaware of the controversy when I asked them about it. When I explained it to that minister, his immediate reaction was "that's crazy." His staff asked me to send him English-language press clippings explaining the details of the matter. They they brought the issue to the DPM in charge of the economy and the economic ministers. They were the ones who told Immigration they were creating a problem and to solve it. And the minister who brought the issue to the economic ministers is the very same minister you are all accusing of being a racist and bigot because he lost his temper a couple of weeks ago and said something foolish, that he apologized for. This is the truth. I don't care if you believe it, or not.

https://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-health-chief-explains-vague-virus-updates-74878.php
PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Health Office (PPHO) Chief has defended the lack of information made available at the mandatory daily coronavirus situation updates, saying Phuket officials are under orders from Bangkok to restrict the information being made available to the public.
This absolutely true.
The public health system in Thailand has thousands of dedicated and ethical people working within it.
Well, once again, that does not explain why there are no whistleblowers in the public health system saying there is a coverup or that the minister is lying if that is what is going on. Officials can issue all the orders they want. But if they are lying, then among the tens of thousands of public health workers Thailand has, I believe some would come forward to say so.

Well, who are the 'academics' questioning Thailand's response and figures? The story doesn't say, so how can we judge whether or not they know what they're talking about?
The public health system in Thailand has thousands of dedicated and ethical people working within it. So, whatever you think of whichever politician happens to be the minister at any given moment, if the minister was lying and covering up the true scale of the situation, I am certain that whistleblowers within the public health system would speak out. I will take the minister at his word until they do.
