  1. We're currently grappling with a serious issue involving the theft of our factory, and we're actively pursuing legal action against all the defendants, including several foreigners and one Thai, in both civil and criminal courts. Regrettably, we've received verbal death threats from some of these individuals, such as threats implying that we are endangering ourselves, making enemies, and facing potential harm for cooperating with the police. These threats have been directed towards myself and my partners, who are the victims/plaintiffs in this case. Today, one of the defendants, a foreigner currently facing criminal charges, audaciously approached us inside the criminal court building and referenced a notorious New York mafia hitman before walking away. Legal proceedings, as is common in many countries, are not swift, with approximately a 1 to 4 month waiting period between hearings. The defendants have exploited this delay to significantly impede the progress of the initial hearings. The most recent criminal case hearing today, which was crucial for my testimony, was once again delayed because the threatening defendant did not have legal representation. However this individual had, in fact, visited my residence the previous night, blocking my driveway and intimidating us. We have evidence of this incident on CCTV and have promptly reported it to the police. Despite these threats, the hearing has been rescheduled for a whole month later, due to the defendant's lack of legal representation. This situation allows a potentially dangerous individual to roam freely, posing a threat to my family for an extended period. Given the possibility of further delays (it has already been nine months since our factory was stolen) unfortunately the perpetrators can remain at large, continually threatening us and misappropriating the factory proceeds. Our lawyers have advised us to report the death threats to the police, though the nature of these threats makes it challenging to provide concrete evidence. Even the threat made inside the court building today is not officially on record since it was not during the hearing (which had been, again, delayed). To improve our safety, our lawyers recommended reporting incidents promptly and varying our daily schedule to avoid predictability. Despite having substantial evidence of theft, embezzlement, and fraud against the defendants, the legal process has been slow, awaiting the judge's initial examination of the evidence (there has yet to be an initial hearing) before making any decisive actions against the perpetrators. Complicating matters further, some defendants have stated, even in writing, about connections within the police force who came to their partner's aid, which has hindered the progress of the case. Considering the slow and potentially dangerous nature of seeking justice in our current environment, we seek advice on additional measures to protect ourselves and expedite our case. Beyond installing more CCTV cameras, we are also interested in exploring non-lethal protective devices such as stun guns, tasers, or pepper spray. Additionally, are there any legal avenues to ensure that threatening criminals, including foreigners, are not freely moving about as such, in a more timely manner at this important tourist zone of Thailand which is supposed to have a very lower tolerance for such figures?
  2. Damn, I was hoping to avoid the mess at the immigration office this year (its insane in December!). But if the online stuff doesnt work, especially in Phuket then there is no hope! Sad!
  3. Could this be useful in somewhere like Phuket? During peak tourism season, the IO is completely overrun and they exhaust queue cards daily. If I am able to submit all documents online and then just go in with my wife to get the stamp, it might be very useful and save time/paper. I don't mind the added cost if it helps me save time. What is the cost anyways?
  4. Hi, my wife and I have been doing annual marriage extensions for me in-person for about 8 years now. I saw that Thailand might have setup a new website to let us do it online this year? https://online.vfsevisa.com/thai Does anyone know if it's working or any tips, summary or advice for proceeding on that?
  5. Conclusion: I did the TM 30 for my wife (for me) online and it worked. Then I did the 90 day report online and it worked. PROBLEMS SOLVED HURRAY!
  6. Phuket. I believe I was able to register my address online using my wife's documents. So I went back to the 90 day website just now and tried to resubmit that too.... hopefully it is accepted this time!
  7. Oh great, so what do I need to prepare exactly for the in-person TM 30? Back to the original question. Please let me know?
  8. That must be it, since I was in a few hotels recently.... well, I can do the TM 30 online anyways right?
  9. I been on a Non-B Marriage visa for many years, and have been living in my Thai wife's house for the past 4 years, which has been my registered address. I did my 90 day report again online, as I always do. However this time I got the error: Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected. Unapproved because the address not match on the system , (Please contact Immigration office) I tried again and got the same error. What documents do I need to bring to immigration to fix this and my report my 90 day? Also can I have my assistant do this for me? Does my wife (house owner) need to be present or not or prepare and documents? May our assistant handle this and and if so, would the assistant need Power of Attorney for myself and/or wife? Thanks in advance!
  10. I was recommended this type of material to insulate against condensation on walls which forms due to a temperature differential. Does anyone know about this type of material and where to get it?
  11. Anyone can recommend a method and material for painting a tile floor with epoxy to make it nice and waterproof and clean?
  12. Where can I buy any double doors in Phuket? Looking for sturdy, waterproof material, secure and able to use a fingerprint sensor wifi door handle. For an industrial building. We want to be able to fit in and out big water tanks. Any suggestions?
  13. I agree that if the flow of the leak is very low like a drip, it would not cause much sound. Ours had a tiny flow for years until it got worse and started to make an impact on our water bill. Recently, when our bill went from 300 to 1800 THB the flow was pretty loud on the device, once pinpointed by their experience and skills I listened to it and the sound was a clear hissing. Mr. Tong just left my house just now. He was able to find the leak in about 30 minutes and have it all fixed and sealed up within 90 minutes! Amazing!
  14. @OneMoreFarang How about cinder block types of bricks? Any thoughts on those type?
