Motorcycle riders are just as bad if not worse passing either side of people crossing with the cars stopped.

I have noticed Thais do not seem to value life especially if it is edible.

Speed bumps & rumble strips would help a bit - along with front & rear facing traffic cameras focused to catch red light runners. The road authorities are not being proactive enough - they could be doing a lot more.

Not to mention the real animals at day break. Any dog without a collar on the loose should be impounded. I am seeing more & more dead dogs road side these days. However also seen some smart dogs waiting along side people waiting to cross the road with them.

I stopped using the zebra crossings around the Moat in Chiang Mai. Especially the ones on the south side of the Moat with traffic lights. Red lights without cameras achieve very little to nothing in Thailand. The Police in CM are currenty focused on helmet less m/c riders which is good however in 7 years living near the Moat I have never witnessed Police monitoring for Red light runners of any vehicle & bike types.

Don't forget the trunk full of LPG gas tank. With meter off not to mention paying for a trip off meter quoted as including all tolls only to be taken on the regular road route directly below the Toll Road.

Motor sports are not limited to just F1. I see no reason for Thailand not having more race tracks and rally courses. Soon Bangkok will be underwater so why invest there at all ? -

Note Buriram Airport already has a major new terminal building probably designed with international flights in mind and associated runway expansion nearing completion. Chang International Circuit with a Moto GP Race track layout is about 38Km from the airport. A major investment currently operating with only 2 return flights a day to DMK airport in Bangkok - "Amazing Thailand". I wonder if the PM is fully aware.
