I'm looking for a photocopy of what Thailand is looking for to show that you are COVID-19 negative. So that I don't get bumped cause my certificate is not excepted.

You state that you may not be able to enter Thailand do to you being from a high risk country, but they are already allowing others from high risk countries so why not allow those from the US?
Point being they are boosting about the chinese already arriving and they are on the high risk list.

Sure let's bring the country that started this whole thing in and we can start it all up again. DAH

My TG's sister was wearing a t-shirt that said "PORNHUB", I don't think she will be wearing again anytime soon after I told her what it was.

Anyone else monitoring the exchange rate? Just this morning I see news that Thailand was looking at opening backup for visitors and the exchange rate has fallen close to 29 baht to the dollar.

This is absolutely brilliant. They destroyed the economy by shutting it down, now they want to allow Chinese visitors back in. Of course they believe Chinese statistics on the infection rate there. Nevermind that no one else in the world believes the nonsense the Chinese come out with, but the PM of Thailand does.
Yes, let them all in and start all over again. Let's get the 2nd, 3rd and 4th waves underway asap. Then we can stay on strict lockdown for another year or so.
Must be getting a kickback from the Chinese

I think it would be better if they allowed more to become Thai citizens and then allow land ownership.

Isn't all water in Thailand dirty? Guess I have to stock up on bottled water.

No not working in Thailand, just asking as I would eventually retire there. I currently go in and out every 6 months on R&R and have a TG that I stay with when there. She currently travels with me and stays in the country where I work.

Can I apply for a retirement visa if I'm still working? I meet the funds requirement of 800K Baht as my monthly income 217K Baht right?

LOL, that's what I was thinking too. Who the hell would want to be an alien and doing 90-day reports when they could be cruising the Med or Caribbean in a yacht.
This was only hypothetical, but if I did have the 100M, I would live in Thailand and take my Thai girl anywhere she wanted to go. I have been to more than 60 counties for work so I would only be going to help my girl understand the way the other parts of the world live. As she only recently has gone outside Thailand with me.

I haven't seen anything on the forums on this so I thought I would post the question. Knowing that you are required to have 800k baht in a bank account for three months and a pension to receive a retirement visa, my question is if your wealth let's say you have an account with 100 million USD in it cause you won the lottery. Do these requirements still apply?

QuoteTourists must now have an international licence, their passport and home country driving licence when renting a vehicle in Pattaya. They must carry their documents with them to show to the police if stopped.
To drive or lease a car in Thailand as a tourist or visitor it is necessary to have either a Thai driving licence or a valid foreign driving licence with a photograph. The foreign licence must either be in English, or be accompanied by an official translation into English or Thai. The licence needs to have been issued by a country that has a treaty with the Thai government allowing the mutual acceptance of driving licences. Most countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA have this agreement with Thailand under the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic or the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. Those in doubt should contact their embassy/consulate for advice.
So if this is the law how is it that Pattaya Police can change it to require a IDL? It's all about the Baht

If you had read the post "here" is anywhere other than my home country. If I was French than France would be my home country but since I'm not there then here would be anyplace in the world! Thailand has Embassies in other countries so it would also be assumed that here has a Thai Embassy.

I'm currently working overseas and looking to retire in Thailand. My Thai GF has a house that we have built and I'd like to start looking into retiring. The 800K in bank is not an issue so I think I have that covered. But I don't want to return to my home country just to get a visa for Thailand. Can I go to the Thai Embassy here and apply?

May we have some detail on how you were taken? Purchases on your card? Withdrawals?
There where charges on my account after words from different locations around the world. Online transactions. It's as if once my card was used in the ATM everyone and his brother started charging against the card.

On a recent visit to Chiang Mai I was taken for close to 1000 USD, I blame the ATM outside the Holiday INN as it was the last transaction I did before I checked my bank statement. I only used two ATM's, One at the airport in Bangkok the other as mentioned. So I reported to my bank and they had to cancel my card and fedex a replacement. Long story short watch your transactions.

Has anyone else run into issues with the deliver services offered in Thailand? I recently had a package sent to my girls sister in Thailand and it has been so far 25 days since it arrived into Thailand customs. The issue now is with FedEx in that they keep requesting paperwork which I have already submitted numerous times and now there seems to be an issue in that the spelling of her name is incorrect and they want to charge me 1500 baht to submit an amendment for the shippers misspelling of the recipient.
