As you're in Phuket you can see that in all condo car parks there are many bikes covered up for months on end, I never heard of an issue, but then again...

But if you buy a brand new bike you probably want to buy first class insurance with theft cover for the first year or two, and I don't see why they don't pay it even if you were away for a few months, but then again...!

This is one of the reasons I don't buy too expensive bike..., or a 2nd one that I really like..., Forza is kind of ok and on the limit...

By the way , I saw almost new Forza 350 for 145k in BKK and another 152k in Phuket, food for thoughts... ????

You are right, a good lock, cover and 1st class inssurance should work fine, exept if i find a 500/800 b / month or so motorbike storage facility somewhere in Phuket

for the 2nd hand, as i think i will keep this bike for long time i guess i will  buy brand new one as the first 2000 km are very important for the lapping and you never know how people did it, well but maybe if i found a good deal once i decide to buy from a retired grand Pa ))

i already hear about some scooters rental shop who sell there almost new bought in 2020 scooters  as they canot pay the bank loan so maybe some good oportunity there as well

There are storage facilities for bikes and cars in most cities.

I used a place here in Pattaya  secure facility all the bikes are put in a locked garage.

    http://www.ustoreitpattaya.com/   550 b a month.

They start them once a week got back after 3 months everything was fine.

    Owner speaks good English.

Nice, i found something similar in Phuket but the monthly fee  are about 4 time the price of your Pattaya one ( 1500 baht/ month ) for 550 month for sure thats a no brainer

If you can do it, do it, along as no-one grasses you up,  just drain the fuel.

You right, thats what i think, but this small details will tell if i buy a Nmax/adv 150 or a Xmax/forza 350 one as im bit afraid of a 'expensive ' scooter sleep ourside for month

From what appears from this link it would seem that the new model 2021 burgman 200 will soon be introduced in Thailand

ok so maybe they stop it only in Europe then

The Honda ADV is a step up from the PCX. The Nmax feels a bit more solid than the PCX. But, if you really want to treat yourself, the new 2021 Forza 350 is amazing. I bought one and love it around town, or on the highway. It is a bit large and heavy, so likely not a great choice for smaller guys. At 6' it fits me perfectly.

as im tall thats also a point for me,  190cm (6.24") im also looking at the forza now

You'll be surprised that the ADV150 doesn't feel like a "little bike" and the handling is still great when fully loaded. The suspension on the rear is excellent. Did the Mae Hong Son loop and had a blast. Easily kept up with bigger bikes as was able to brake much later into the corners. As for parking, it fits anywhere another bike does. Guess you love Grab delivery and Food Panda bikes then ????

Is the ADV 150 ok for tall guy ?

  4. i wonder what solution did you guys found when you leave Thailand for few month

i plan to buy a nice bike there, who will stay downstair my condo at the parking lot usualy, but im bit afraid to leave it or few month

i live at the 2nd floor and the stairs are really large im sure with one or two friend we can bring it to my apartment, did the gardian will let me do ? ( maybe for a 500 thb  note ))

How did you deal with this situation ?

  5. Thanks everyone

i dont like manual speed motorbike at all, i only targeting a automatic scooter like i use here in Europe everyday, that fit my need

i was looking at SYM there in Thailand but unfortunatly, the model they have seems  to be outdated ( the old MaxSym and the GTS 300 ) i was more thinking about a Cruisym https://www.symfrance.com/fr/models/cruisym-a-125-euro-5.html  but not aviable right  now in Thailand

About KYMCO i was looking at the DOWNTOWN, but  i canot find any KYMCO official dealer in Phuket  / or Thai so you right about maintenance and spare pieces

https://www.kymco.fr/fr/scooters/125/202-downtown-125i-abs  feel free to let me know if you have link to Kymco shops in Thailand

Nmax is nice, but a bit small for my height 190cm and 100kg So maybe i should buy a bigger model like Forza 350 or Xmax 300

The Burgman 200 look nice too, but Suzuki stop to produce it this year so will be tuff to resale it in futur

  6. Hi guys, i wonder if its possible to find in Thailand some decent alternative to PCX or NMAX style scooter, a 150cc or so, at least as good as PCX or NMAX ( not a Waves or Aerox style as i want something more high quality )

can we find SYM or KYMCO scooter ? or brand like this ?

  7. Hi, the exact place is SHUNDE, few km from foshan, yes its cheapr, but you have to calculate your shipping fee  import taxes and so.

If you buy only small quantity, its not sure you will get acces to the models you want as the shps / factory there usualy ask for MOQ usualy bigger than one simple house project.

i live in Guangzhou who is next to Shunde/ Foshan and i know what im talking about,

nb, some of my friend who build last year a villa in Samui, import almost all stuff from there, and they got some big trouble importing the goods, the container was blocked in Thai customs, with a lot fo feee and so on, . so act wizely.
