From data page 1 for the 32 days and given an infection period of 4 days. There are 8 infection periods. So: 28(R0)^8 = 7353, R0^8 = 262.6, 8(logR0) = log262.6... logR0=.3012 so R0 = 2
Yes I thought that too...

Try reading the UK Embassy website and then try to understand what you have to do to get the visa. Obviously written by someone with a very poor understanding of English.
Next, try to register. It wants your email address but won’t accept the @ symbol!
I have literally spent hours, unsuccessfully, trying to get the application form to accept my date of birth. I have still no idea whether I need to send copies of flight bookings or just give them the dates. I won’t pay for a flight until I’m sure our lockdown will finish early December.
Dont even ask me about trying to get any of the insurance companies to help.
Good luck to anyone trying this route into Thailand.

I’m sure this isn’t the first time someone has stolen guns from a firing range for nefarious reasons.

The “experts” tell us it’s nothing to do with warm/cold climates. So experts please tell us why the figures are rising as Europe enters winter. The whole of Europe forecast this second wave months ago and it appeared right on cue.
When all this is over the world is going to say of this self imposed panic and subsequent ruined economies:
”What the on earth were they all thinking? It was hardly Bubonic Plague / Black Death or even World War 2 was it?”
As others have said:
”The Media is the Virus”

I'm lost for words, when driving a car you give way to the bigger vehicle is much the norm, why on earth cannot someone see a train coming or some railway lines.
The answer lies in the video of the bus accident. The bus driver had the train on his left. The driver sits on the right. Also the bus was full so there may have been people etc obstructing the drivers (poor) field of view to his left.
I haven’t seen a video of the second accident but I bet it was a similar scenario. Driver on the right, train on the left.
We have the same Thing in aviation. The pilot sits on the left. Guess which side always collides with instructions when taxying...yep it’s the right wing.
But then... TiT!

Id say that international tourism in places like Pattaya and Phuket etc actually accounts for 99% of GDP in those areas.

No worries. Tourism is only 9% of the Thai economy. Right? Right?

I booked with this company specifically because they said that they carry a maximum of 6 people in a luxury minibus with business class seats. We drove around Pattaya and picked up the six people and set off. An hour later we diverted into Rayong (in the rush hour) and picked up someone else. Then we picked up a couple. We continued the tour of Rayong and picked up yet another passenger. Now there were 10 of us in this “luxury” minibus....which ONLY HAD 9 seats...and only 4 of those were Luxury.Myself and another passenger specifically checked with the woman, when we booked, the number of passengers and were both told 6. I chose this company AND PAID 2800 Bt, which is well above normal, because it was supposed to be only 6.The return journey also went all around Rayong dropping off those extra people so we didn’t get back to Pattaya until 5 pm.I have used this company once before, a few years ago but they have really gone downhill now. They used to provide free breakfast, free snack lunch and free drink on return. Now all we got is one bottle of water.<removed>- 3
