    Go to Pak Bara Pier

There are number of speedboats available, will get you to the island in an hour. Hotel prices have fallen dramatically, beaches are amazing and diving spots some of the best in south.

I stayed at Sita Resort, hardly 5-6 guests there in fairly large resort.

    Very cool.

Question: Can I park my car for one week at Pak Bara Pier while on Koh Lipe?

Currently, still driving and only 180 KM left to reach the pier.

    Cheers.

  2. Good Evening,

So, I have never been to Ko Lipe and don't even know how to get there.
I am thinking of going there for a few days and relax at the beach with my wife.
I am trying to learn snorkeling, too.

How do I get to Ko Lipe from Bangkok?
By car or plane doesn't matter.
Are Ferries going to the island and are some hotels and restaurants open?

    Cheers!

  3. Hi,

Last time I went to the DLT to renew my driving licence, it was denied, because my Work Permit only states the location of the school, but not where I actually live.

So, I went to Immigration at CW and they said we cannot give you a proof of residency, because your non-B visa is new, and it did not have a 90 days stamp

yet. Now, three months later, I have the 90 day stamp of course. So would the Immigration people give me a proof of residence, if I provided them with my house rental contract?

This leads me to my last question? How much does a proof of residency cost? I have heard horror stories of 10,500 baht.

    TX,

    Peter

  4. Hi Everyone

Once again a topic about whether I can possible avoid a trip out of the country when changing schools.

I do have a Non-B visa for my current school work as a teacher.

On June-15, the contract runs out. I am going to change schools. The new contract at another school starts August-1.

Can I simply trade in my current Non-B visa with a new Non-B visa at the local Immigration office?

Or do I have to leave the country to secure a new Non-B visa in Laos with the papers provided by my future school?

Or can I bridge the time between my last working day at the old school on June-15 until August-1 with a tourist visa secured in Laos in June? I would then hold the

tourist visa until it is converted into a Non-B by the local immigration office.

I really wonder how this is going to work. I want to avoid to travel to Laos, because of time constraints.

    Tx
