  1. Thank you for the replies to my bump, one more question, Im only in Chiang Mai for 10 days, and the hospitals, I emailed never answered. Will I be able to find a place to do the sleep study as soon as I get there? or should I try and swt it up before I get there. Thanks again.

  2. ok,thanks all, for the replies,

bumps are still visable, but getting smaller, and barely itch now.

They are in groups of 2-3, Its been about 2 weeks.

The good news is, no new bites, I was afraid I bought some back, my baggage got wet on the way to the hotel, and I spread it out all over the room to dry it out, gues no hitchhikers.

    Thanks again, Chris.

  3. Yea, I guess I better see a dr, just hard to see 1 here, last time I tried it was a 2 week waiting period.

been reading about bed bugs, and that they sometimes have a delay between the bite time and the time the bump appears.

anyways, I guess the dr. for me, Thanks, Chris.

  4. Thanks for the reply,I live in hawaii now, but, dont spend much time on the beach. maybe it is sand flea type things, but, just had 3 bites show up in a new spot, and havent been to a beach in a week, I just hope theres nothing living with me,

    Thanks, Chris.

  5. HI,

I stayed at ko chang a week ago for 2 nights, and in the taxi on the way back to bangkok I had 3 bumps on my left arm that itched. They looked and felt like mosquito bites, but lasted much longer, can still see them. 36 hours later got about 3 more on the same arm. 36 hours later I got about 3 more on my left arm, and now about 36 hours after I have about 3 more.

I have seen scabies on my daughter, doesnt seem the same, bites are in small groups, but not straight lines.

I stayed in 4 different beds now, and am in usa now, so dont think it is bed bugs,

I havent, seen mosquitos or fleas, and I believe I would know if they were the cause, bumps seem to appear in the afternoon.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Chris.

  6. Hi all,

I will be in Khon Kaen later this month, and was wondering if there is a good place to get a mri on my neck?

Or should I have it done in bangkok.

also any idea how long to get results?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris.

  7. mommysboy,

I posted about a similar problem a couple months ago. Was told to get a x-ray, never even occurred to me. Got a x-ray in bangkok,

Dr. read my x-rays and said disks are wore out. Think I will have it x-rayed here in the states too.

strangely enough, it hasn't bothered me since.

    Good luck. c

  8. thanks for the replies,

many obvious things that I never thought of,( like x-rays)

I use glucosamine when my back goes out and works well,

will try it for my neck, (again never thought of it, too much drugs and whiskey as a kid)

Will try to post if and when I find what works.

    Thanks again,

    Chris

  9. Hi all,

will be back in LOS at the end of this month, Bangkok and Rayong.

I have had a sore neck periodily for 20 years,

went to a chiroprator and he gave me a contoured pillow,

    seemed to work.

but the pain seems to be coming back more often, and the last month it has been constant though, not overly severe, but definatly annoying.

some times thai massage seems to work, sometimes not.

Any Ideas what it is, or where to go get it looked at.

    Thanks, Chris.

  10. Hi all,

I would like to bring some gold to the US.

I asked about this before, and was told, that jewelry is probably ok to wear and not have to worry about declaring it.

I was thinking about bringing some small gold bars, since they are cheaper to buy.

It would be less than 20 baht.

Can I bring these in without paying duty?

And if not about what % would I need to pay?

    Thanks.

  11. OK, Thanks for the Info. But, I would like to be completely legal, I don't really need to take the gold watches, they haven't worked in years, and not sure if I can find a repair shop there. But I wpould like to take the gifts. I looked again and their value is more like $350.00USD.

Once again I really don't want any delays at customs.

  12. Hi, I am coming to LOS in 3 days, and plan on bringing in 2 new watches, 2 old watches to repair, 1 carton duty free cigs, and about 15 coloring books, some crayons, pencils, some nuts, and candy, ect. All the new items total about $250.00 USD. The 2 old watches were expensive when I bought them, 20 years ago, and are both made of gold, so probably worth $2,000. Do you think I need to declare these?

Also, I would like to bring in a liter of whiskey, can I buy this duty free on the plane and bring it to Bangkok in my carry on? or do I need to buy here and check in baggage. Is Johny waker even cheaper here in the US?

Thanks for any replies on my minor problems, I just don't want any problems at customs. Thanks in advance,Chris.

  13. Thanks Tim, Maybe it is stress, I can't pinpoint any food or other factors. It is so hard for me to change my diet radically, I guess In will live with it. The itching doesn't last too long, 5 minutes to 1 hour. thanks for the reply,Chris.
