  1. Be very , very careful of Adovart Dusteride. My husband was recommended this drug by a top surgeon here, who said there were no side effects. He hardly slept for 2 years, we could not figure out why. I looked into and found many forums complaining about this drug. Side effects not sleeping and feeling very weak. The day he stopped this drug , he slept 14 hrs straight through , it took 6 months to get this drug out of his system He know takes Saw Palmetto, one capsule a day, extra strength , Havasu. His enlarged prostate is fine and so is his PSA level.

  2. I was quoted 60.000 thousand baht at Sriphat Medical Center  in Chaing mai for an extended lens , in one eye, cataract grade 2. The operation would take a few hours. I saw Dr. Janejit, she has an excellent reputation. My visit including Special Diagnostic Imaging 450 baht , examination with the special fluid in the eyes 100 Baht and my bill

came to 1,200 baht. She is very popular , be prepared for a long wait , unless you make you appointment well in advance and arrive early .

  3. You MUST have a notarized  Will in Thai with the English translation, made through a reputable company. A  ops will be left with the notaries office , and a copy for you. We  are a married English couple , we have been living in Thailand for many years, we have made the Thai wills. The bank will do anything to hang onto the money.

  4. Be wary of Monza, Sterling , I have read many bad reviews, so do check throughly so that your money does not get frozen in an account with them , as poor customer service if things go wrong. I went to SIngapore and opened a bank account with both HSCB and DBS. DBS is excellent, suggest you contact these banks in Singapore and find out exactly what is required to set up  a bank account .

Excellent  customer service and no need to do online banking, which is much safer.

  5. Thank you very much for your help.

I found the well -reputed  Neurologist whom I had heard about on this forum: Dr. Surat Tanprawate . Fluent english ! He now only works at Sriphat Medical Center Sat. mngs. 9-12

However he has his own clinic at ChivaCare Medical and Physical Therapy Clinic , 8 soi 11 Siri Mangkalajarn Rd Suthep Chiang mai, (off the Nimmanahaemin Road, easy to find). Tel 096 9800126.  052 005 457.  www. chivacare.com. He is there Tue and Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. 500 baht fee.

He sent me for an M.R.V. scan , back of head, which I did at the Sirphat, 11.500 B. Luckily  the scan came back all clear.  I had stopped all my medication from the hospital, and I now  feel fine , I think the Warfarin made me ill , and the dose was far too high. There are now many replacements for Warfarin.

  6. I had a brain clot a week ago, and went to a large hospital in Chiang mai. My doctor speaks hardly any English , nor seems to have had much experience. She has perscribed me a high dose  Warafarin

which I have never taken before. It seems to have made me rather worse.

Please, I must find another Neurologist in Chaing mai for a second opinion as quiclly as possible, can anyone reccommend please ?
