So far as I see it the only benefit in the 2 years since the vote is to foreign investors and tourists buying up housing stock and cheap holidays on the back of a dog tired pound.
How condescending of you to talk about the 'flat cap Brexit North'! A derogatory comment if I ever heard one.
The Leave Camp accepted that there would continue to be a requirement for an inflow of suitably qualified people and I think that to believe we would stop all immigrants was never contemplated albeit some element of society might have wished for that outcome. Day 1 of effects of Brexit will only be on 30 March 2019 and not before. If I remember correctly the slogan on the side of the Bus stated 350 million more for the NHS. It did not include the word 'now'. How could we fund the NHS to that extent when we had not left the EU and still had the obligation to pay our subscription.
Your comment that you have not seen any material benefit in the 2 years since the vote demonstrates you have no idea of what you are talking about as we do not leave until 29 March 2019.

When people voted before, they didn't really know what they were voting for; Hard Brexit? Soft Brexit? Something in-between? Best to give people a chance to approve of the negotiations now; failure to do so may well lead to huge disgruntlement later.
The UK voted to do a momentous thing in leaving the EU. A decision of this magnitude needs confirmation.
I most certainly knew what I was voting for so what gives you the right to say that I didn't. "Hard Bexit'/ 'Soft Brexit". Rubbish there's only Brexit. You are merely repeating the tired and well-worn dogma of the left-leaning luvvies and have no evidence to substantiate your comment. All the dire consequences that were going to happen on day one after the vote if we voted to leave have not happened and was a most certainly 'project fear'. Get over it, Britain as a Nation decided to leave the unelected undemocratic EU. and thank God we did. No need for a vote on whether the deal is acceptable. Should Mrs. May and her colleagues believe that the final deal is not good enough the remedy is simple, we just walk away. But that is not going to happen because the EU needs the UK's money and its markets.
Summary: The EU needs the UK more than we need the EU.
Let's stop fighting yesterdays battles, they have happened, and instead, together face the future as a nation with confidence
All the signs are that the UK is now entering a period of stability with ING Bank analyst today being the latest to forecast that 2018 will be a bright year for the pound sterling and calling it 'the darling currency of the world in 2018'.
We knew that there would be bumps in the road but the Brits have been here before but we know we can deal with it should we need to.
I firmly believe the vote to leave was the right decision.

I'm living in rural Thailand just outside the village of my partner. My question is 'is it normal for family and villagers to walk into your home at will and in the case of family to help themselves to drinks from the fridge and if so is this something I have to accept if I am going to continue to live in the same location'?
Have to say it 'bugs' me and I am told the look on my face says it all!!!!
