  2. Serious flood hits Hua Hin: disaster-zone declaration is being considered

HUA HIN: -- Local administrative leaders asked Prachuap Khiri Khan Prasong Pitoonkijja to declare Hua Hin a disaster zone Thursday's night.

The request came amid worsening floods in the area.

Several spots in Hua Hin, which is located in Prachuap Khiri Khan, were under water. A local bridge was severed.

Floods hit after rain poured down on the area.

Can anyone tell me if it is safe enough to drive through Prachuap Khiri khan and Hua Hin to BKK. Is Highway 4/41 safe for vehicle? My plan is to drive up next 2 days.

  3. Hi There

Anybody know if i can get a English spoken/read GPS Nav. system here in Thailand, and where

    Thanks guys.

Hi, if you have a chance to come to Singapore, which is not very far away, pay Sim Lim Tower Basement 1 for a visit. many shops sell Garmin GPS. Only the english version.

I guess the language is predominent in the country of purchase. Just like it is easily to acquire a chinese version in China and Taiwan than anywhere else. There is no way you can get a chinese set in Singapore.

    Happy hunting.
