  1. I plan to visit Kunming, Yunnan, in a few days and request a visa-on-arrival. I understand that, as an Australian, I can fly to Kunming for a week and request a visa upon arrival. Is this correct? Also, do I need travel insurance or any other supporting documents? Thanks in advance.
  2. Thanks DrJack54.
  3. How many days after the 90-day due date can I leave the country without being penalized? My due date is Friday 16 August, and I fly out some time that weekend. Thanks
  4. The visa stamp is smudged and the writing is not clear. Looking at an old visa, if I leave the country and plan to return, I need to pay 1,000 baht for a reentry permit. Thanks everyone.
  5. I was happy to pay more for a thorough examination but was not given the option.
  6. I have a non-O retirement visa and plan to travel to Spain this Saturday. I believe I can leave Thailand once without paying the 1,200 baht for a re-entry permit. Can I just walk through immigration on the way out, and then just turn up at immigration on the way back, and my non-O will be renewed?
  7. A couple of weeks ago I visited the dermatology hospital near Victory Monument for a routine check. The young doctor that I saw asked what I wanted her to look at. Pointing to a spot on my wrist, she checked it and said "Old age", which was OK. She then asked if there was anything else, and I indicated I wanted my whole body checked. I cannot speak Thai and she spoke little English. Either way, she was not prepared to check my whole body, as I assumed she understood what I wanted. I suppose that is what you get for a 200 baht fee. My friend saw another doctor there a few weeks previously and had a full body scan, no problem. Any suggestions for a dermatologist in Bangkok?
  8. 800,000 baht kept in a separate account for immigration.
  9. 800,000 baht kept in a separate account with Bangkok Bank. Tomorrow I will visit Bangkok Bank to get a letter. What does the letter need to say that satisfies immigration for renewal of my non-O?
  10. Tomorrow I will visit Bangkok Bank to get a letter. What does the letter need to say that satisfies immigration for renewal of my non-O?
  11. To renew my non-O visa, I need a letter from Bangkok Bank confirming my bank balance. Since I want to arrive at Government Complex, Chaengwattana as early as possible, what time does the branch open there?
  12. As I understand the link below on renewing my non-O retirement visa, I now need to have health insurance. Is this correct? https://www.immigration.go.th/?p=14714
