I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction for buying a UPS? I am not very computer savvy and I am finding the whole thing a bit confusing.

I recently bought an all-in-one desktop. The electricity here can sometimes be a little patchy, with blackouts for an hour or two every couple of months. Apparently, I need a UPS to ensure the safety of my computer when a blackout happens. The other thing is, sometimes these blackouts come with power surges where the electricity comes on with bursts of low voltage. There might be enough power to keep a lamp running, for example, without any air con units.

It doesn't happen very often, but I worry it will damage my AOI eventually.

So I looked on Lazada, and there are a ton of options available. I could do with spending just 2-3000 THB if possible. Do I grab literally any UPS within the price range? I would have liked a UPS that auto shuts down the computer (through software) but I cant determine which of the UPS on Lazada do that. Probably none within 2-3000 THB? I have no idea. Obviously, everything is in Thai so it's impossible to know which one to go for.

I'm not sure what the point of this post is, in hindsight. I suppose I'm just asking if its ok to grab any UPS within 2-3000 THB on Lazada? I'm assuming in that price range they are all mostly the same?

    Thanks

    Batty

I was buying the New Zealand Mainland Vintage cheese until I discovered Milk Kefir and now I make the tastiest cheese . 1 liter of milk makes about 450 grams of cheese that I process with a couple of Jalapenos and its awesome. Will never buy commercial again. I still have 1 kilo of the Mainland in the fridge untouched for 6 months now. Plus drinking Kefir every night before bed has dramatically improved my sleep in both quality and time asleep.

    Use an agent !

    Simples .....

Its because of the simples that we now have to show a 12 month statement designed to slow the rampant corruption between IO's and visa agents so thanks for that. But at least you know your limitations. If you can't come up with the 800,000 then you need to rethink your life choices

  4. Absolutely give it a go. I am about the same age as you and what I do is watch all the UFC , Bellator, BKFC, Boxing etc that I can and learn and practice from that.  I have  a heavy bag and practice every day the moves I see the pros do. Just watched a great You Tube video on what makes Canelo Alveraz so good and try to learn techniques from video's like that. My version of Nick Diaz's Stockton Slap and a good  Spinning Back Elbow are my go to moves. Connect with a good elbow and its lights out and finish with a flurry of hammer fists. And use your knees and remember that in a street fight/self defense situation there are no rules and the main objective is to disable the other guy as quickly as possible so low kicks/knees are encouraged.

Remember the best defense is offence both verbally and physically.

So get a heavy bag and some good MMA style sparring gloves and your self confidence will improve out of sight and so will your fitness.

    Moringa in Thai is 'maroom'.

I asked my wife who studied and does Thai herbal medicine, and she just happened to be talking on the phone to her sister who has a PhD in biochemistry and works for a company which specialises in herbal cosmetic and other products.

I spoke to the sister and she asked me if the powder you use comes from the leaf or the seeds, because apparently they are quite different.  Also how much you take and how - capsules, powder in water, what?

When you say juice, is it just the powder mixed with water or is it a manufactured product sold in a bottle?  If so, what name and where can you  get it?

I'm not a big believer in all the 'natural/herbal/organic' industry's claims, but I'd be prepared to try something for a week or so to check it out.

Moringa is also called the Tree of Life and there are some very passionate people preaching its virtues on YouTube. I have 4 trees in my back yard and the rate these things grow at is incredible. I make my own powder by drying the leaves and then grind  with a spice grinder. I add 1 tablespoon to my muesli every morning and make fresh juice by adding water to fresh leaves and blending then straining. Makes a very dark green fresh almost grassy tasting concentrate which I then add about 150 ml to 350 ml of kombucha  that I make. I also use the juice as a fertilizer on my pepper plants. I do eat the seeds when available but they have a tendency to make you a bit loose if you eat a whole pod or "Drumstick" as they are sometimes called. The local Thai people come looking for the seed pods every now and then and I get the impression they treat them almost like a medicine. Probably need to use it for more than a week to see any long term benefits.

  7. See if you can find a Moringa oleifera tree and eat the young smaller leaves , flowers and seeds from it every day. These trees grow every where here and are often called the tree of life. One side effect I read about is if you are taking BP lowering meds then Moringa may lower your BP too much. Since I started eating it my libido has gone through the roof, I sleep better, have more energy and generally feel much happier. Very easy to grow at home if you have the space.
