Has anyone changed the clutch on a Stallion 150cc engine? I'm working my way through a cafe racer 150cc bike and have now got it running great but it really needs the clutch disks and possibly the basket replaced. Not taken it apart yet.
I have had a look online and found references to it being a Chinese clone of a yamaha ybr engine albeit with bigger piston / bore to make it 150cc. Nothing concrete though which is where you guys might be able to help me.
Actual engine on the bike is numbered JS150.
Ideally I'm after confirmation that it is a yamaha ybr clone or some other clone and i can substitute the clutch parts / case gasket using yamaha parts which i can easily order online. And also find the workshop manual detailing valve clearances etc to check my work. Unless any of you legends already have a workshop manual for a stallion 150cc cafe.
Thanks

I'm not sure how much extra over a standard bike. It's around 10 litres to fill it up.

Unsurprisingly all these links are dead. If any kind user has some o-net tests, questions anything o-net related i would really appreciate it.
I have a ftp site you can upload to or pm me for email.
Thanks

Assuming engine has been rebuilt to correct specification, has decent compression and the bike rides well...i would offer somewhere around the 25k baht mark

I'm not sure which one you mean by public but there is one that charges a small fee just off the E Chao Fa Rd 4021 as it is named on google maps.
It is a big brick building set back from the road. The driveway swoops upward. The location on googlemaps is accurate

Where are these auctions, any links? Sounds interesting

I've seen them do the fogging early in the morning. It is quite an eerie site.

i'm paid 30k baht a month teaching 17 hours a week at a government school in Phuket. My first year. Definitely a lot of work for not a lot of cash. If i didn't have a second revenue stream from back home i wouldn't be able to do this.

I am also in Penang and used Jim's services. He doesn't attend embassy what best b says above is currently correct. It was worth the 600baht for me for the document checking service. Neither myself nor my employer were aware of the latest home country police requirement needing to be certified by home country embassy.

Stallion 150cc engine / clutch
in Motorcycles in Thailand
Posted
I'm in Phuket and we have a dealer in the town, 88 motorbike and whilst very friendly they aren't keen on supplying me just the parts. They want to fit them - understandable for the mechanics, but i love playing with bikes.
It is also a struggle explaining what part i want without workshop manual / parts manual to point at unless i disassemble the bugger and bring it in - i'm succumbing to the fact that that is what will need to happen.
For what it's worth i'm certain that this engine is not a clone of a Yamaha YBR engine or the Jianshe JS150 engine due to oil filter placement.
