You could fly directly to Vientiane or fly to Udon Thani and take a van from the airport there to the bridge in Nong Khai to crossover to Laos.
Will they check for a return flight outside Thailand and will they check any kind of money ?
kind of limited with money around 10K since my money will come in a couple days after my visa expires

Hello everyone.
I've gotten a lot wiser already reading a lot of pages on this website but decided to make an account to ask about my specific situation.
Since April 2017 i'm staying in Thailand through some visa on arrivals by plane with extensions and some border runs also got those extended for 30 days.
This year i used already both my border runs through Myanmar (February and April) and my visa will end in June.
I was thinking to get a tourist visa either with a border run company (Thai Visa Services) since i used them for all of my border runs. i don't have any tickets for leaving Thailand again as i intent of staying here for at least 1 more year.
What is the best i could do and is it easy enough to obtain a SETV in Vientiane that i could do it by myself and fly there instead of taking a van since i hate sitting inside a van for that long of a time.
I can't get a volunteer visa already, right?

Applied for a Non - O Volunteer right after the 31 July got extended to 26 September. Mainly because they told me it would start from 27 September. It didn't but still the peace of mind not having to deal with the immigration is worth the money. Wil extend for another 12 months on the first of october (3 month NON-O is valid till 14 november). Paid 20K for the 3 month NON-O and will pay another 30K for the 12 month extension. It's a lot of money but well worth it in my eyes. Not having to deal with immigration in these times gives me such a relief ????
