Um, after much deliberation about how many pineapples you can fit in a truck (in Thailand in particular) I have to say that I would conservatively estimate somewhere in the region of 10,000 pineapples. Obviously this might vary slightly, if the truck is particularly big maybe more. If the pineapples are pretty big you may be able to stack them higher.

     

    Do you remember the first time you saw four thais on a motorbike and you shook your head. Then a week later you saw a family of eight on the same size bike? Same principle. 555.

  2. Yes, the whole idea is to be friendly and welcoming to all in an ordinary way. Guest friendly? Yes. Unfriendy behaviour? No. 

     

    As to breaking the law? Absolutely not. As to investing as we see fit? Jesus H Christ, surely there is no other way!

     

    We are not a Condo. Any guests we have will be less troublesome than many of my neighbours noisy dogs. Also, at present we are a couple living in a four bedroomed house. Many of our neighbours have two bedroomed houses with Mum, Dad, Siblings and kids, three dogs (maybe four) and a fighting Cockerel! The other neighbours don't like dogs ... so they plump for a few cats to keep the peace.

     

    We have kids playing football (usually with a flatish ball) with Grandma and/or Grandpa keeping an eye out for them whilst Mum and Dad go to work. It is real life, and that is what we want to our guests to experience. Not Walking Street, Soi 6, Soi Buckaow, etc etc. Have those of you who are bitching forgotten what real life is about?

  3. The house has only three keys (available rooms to rent) and is therefore a Type 0 Hotel  (exempt from requiring a Hotel Licence).

    There are no Leasehold Restrictions (unlike Condos) such as those that were enforced by the Courts.

    Owner/Occupier is proof of Homestay status.

    TM30 forms will be completed as and when required.

    All common sense items (smoke alarms etc) will be installed/provided.

    No wives of any nationality will be informed.

     

    Based on the above I think it's legal to rent out the spare bedrooms of the house.

  4. My thai girlfriend and I live in a four bedroom house. We use one bedroom and our idea is to rent the other three bedrooms and share the rest of the house.

    I understand that we must submit a TM30 to Immigration for all foreigners that may stay with us. Are there any other requirements? We would like to offer the rooms for Daily Weekly and Monthly rates, is this allowed? Any information would be gratefully received. Thanks.

  5. My wife and I also went to this year's firework show. We saw the Leo stand opposite Central Shopping Centre, bought four large perfectly chilled cans of Leo for 50b each, then sat on the beach and enjoyed the show which, incidentally, was absolutely free and fantastic.

     

    I would advise the OP not to trust any draught beer (anywhere in the world) at similar events and I am not only talking about a short measure but also suspect quality. Stick to sealed cans or bottles.

  6. Thanks for all your replies. I will have another look a the Honda and Yamaha Safety Courses. I have never been to Chang Mai so a break up there to do the Honda Course might be a good option ...

     

    But still no local choices in or around Pattaya with regard to a recommended Driving School?
