  1. Others who have stayed on a marriage visa after divorce have been treated as overstayers and subject to deportation plus blacklisting.

I am not an expert on immigration by any stretch and would defer to anything UbonJoe has to say. But I do know one very scary story that started out almost exactly like this.

In the meantime, I would not listen to anyone who says this is OK and I would not even consider it without talking to a lawyer. And if you do, bring all your belongings with you and make sure you locked your door next time you visit the immigration office.

  2. "a giant step forward for Thailand providing they keep those money parasites out of it, what they suggest is true, it has to be kept with Thailand they have already proved they can make the medicines themselves. now to see what they will charge us when we need it,"

If by "money parasites" you mean people who will provide it to society at a cost that rewards their investment and efforts, I'd say we need to get them in!

My advice is to wait and see and let them come to you first, usually you can negotiat the damage to a very resnable amout citing the girl's young age and irrisponsible attidute, also, those loans are most likely insured the by the lenders already and thus will fall under the NPL category...

My advice is to not listen to anyone who thinks credit card companies can insure against nonpayment and that that constitutes an NPL.

The credit is already "non-performing" and the bank may sell the debt to a collector.

I think I remember having read that in VietNam they have a fixed/standardized way of transliteration from VN script to the English/latin alphabet. Would have been nice to have that in LoS.

It wasn't very nice how the French imposed that on them though.

  5. I don't know a whole lot about this, but do know that extending 90 days temporary contract to staff, while common Thai practice, is clearly an effort to avoid the law.

Thai companies do this all the time. It is why the staff at restaurant and a certain book store all have name tags that say "Trainee". In those cases, i assume it is because they don't want to be staff severance and insurance costs.

I suspect that if after say 1 year, you tried to fir one of the two staff members, there is a good chance that they could act like victims and bring a complaint.

    I wouldn't do it

Yellow and green taxis are privately owned ( info from a few owners I know) all other colors are companies.

Sent from my iPhone using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

That is correct. Yellow and green taxis are owned and operated by individuals. They say in Thai on the door "Taxi Bukhon" or private taxi.

Other colour taxis have the name of their company in the same place.

We're all just guessing of  course.

True! But that may be all that anyone can do.

I had assumed that these had been planted for some time and had thrived before. But they do look like recently acquired "Mok", which should be pretty hardy.

I have never had problems with Mok, but did recently have a fungal infection on some larger trees that resulted first in deformation of leaves and stems and then die back.

The cause appears to be an invisible (too small) worm. And once I sprayed S85, everything cleared right up!
