Many manufacturing firms on the Eastern Seaboard offering voluntary redundancies or a compulsory 30% reduction in salaries from September. This is caused by a downturn in certain exports due to the high baht, this coupled with a drop in tourism should result in the baht dropping in value. Is their some artificial boost to the current value?

I wanted to install central a/c when carrying out a complete refurb of the house as I have this system in my Au home. I approached at least 10 installers who thought I'd just landed from Mars! I'd suggest you stick with split systems, the latest Daiken models are efficient.

At least one manufacturing company in Rayong have advised employees that all salaries will be reduced to 75% in October onwards to avoid layoffs. Apparently the high Baht is affecting exports.

I heard from a usually reliable source in Vietnam that several major manufactures currently based in Thailand have feelers out for possible relocation there. If true this could have an enormous effect on the economy.

Follow the Chinese example, execution or long term imprisonment, this has reduced corruption enormously.

Experience buying building materials in China

Building a new house. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of buying tiles house and pool, sanitary ware, glass, lighting etc in China.
After the virus ends I am willing to travel to Foshan which is the tile and sanitary ware capital.
Opinions would be welcome on having a single or double (cavity wall) build and recommended eaves width.
Many thanks for any help or suggestions
