Need to modify my film purchasing recommendation. Films Festival are not replying to mails, and quoting August delivery for items they say they have in stock!
The good news is that AVCamera are now selling film. From experience they deliver purchases the following day, and their prices are better too!
Thanks so much for the update!

I buy films from Films Festival. Based in Bangkok, he sells on eBay, and will quote you a price delivered in Thailand if you contact him.
For processing I use Patani, also in Bangkok (find them in Facebook). I send in the film, pay when he has finished processing, and he sends to me by SMS. Good quality, clean negatives. He also does scanning. Another option is IQ Lab. Have also used Airlab but they messed up a couple of films so they are off my list!
Thank you so much!

Hey everyone!
Does anyone know of a place where I can buy and develop 35mm film spools in Phitsanulok? There is an abudance of digital photography stores but am yet to find a film place. I have a few finished rolls and would love to get them processed and scanned.
Thanks!

I lived just outside the city for about 2 years until I moved back to the UK, There are very few foreigners around and nothing in the way of bars or entertainment, Cinema rarely has a movie with English sub titles but there is a Central shopping mall. I found it difficult after living in Pattaya but if you like solitude and seclusion then you might like it. I assume you would be going with your wife/girlfriend who would have family there and that would be an issue as they might well see you as a meal ticket. I still have a house there which we had built. Good luck if you do decide to go but go with your eyes open as it really is Thai living in the raw.
I'm a foreigner who works with a few other foreigners and know all the foreign bars here. Lots of delicious food and restaurants as well!

I've just moved here 2 weeks ago!
Lots of beautiful places to rent. We have a big studio apartment on the Nan river for about 8000THB a month. Lots of condo rooms around for about 6000 and you can get a house for about 9000 near the central plaza shopping mall. Let me know if you have any other questions I can help with ?

In August last year, although I did not need one myself, I am pretty sure they were allowing border bounces for visa exempt entries. As @ubonjoe stated, pretty almost all (exception Poi Pet/Aran) border crossings will now allow visa exempt entries, subject to the 2-per-calendar-year limitation.
Thanks for this! My first and only land crossing so hoping all should be fine ?

Last time I checked you couldn't leave unless you had a valid visa, as you can't (or couldn't, things are fluid) get much further than Myawaddy.
But yeah if anyone has more recent info, would be great.
I would still have a valid visitors visa and would get a visa upon arrival (my passport allows this) for Myanmar when crossing through.

Hey all,
I'm needing to do my first and last visa run - whilst my work permit gets sorted - by the 16th of this month. Currently living in Phitsanulok and wanting to go to the Mae Sot border between Thailand and Myanmar.
Anyone been there recently who can confirm that it's open? All the forum posts on the topic are from mid-2017!
Thanks!
