Which one of the 19 arrested was having "a beer in private that led to his arrest"?    Are you not aware of the Covid restrictions on gatherings at the moment?

Maybe you should change your name to Negative Lou , you'r a bit on the negative side lately . Not used to you being like that . It was a private property and maybe everybody attending was vaccinated it is in the so called "working" sandbox by the way .

  2. Despite ending up under a truck and having to spend 4.5 million baht in ICU and hospital bills she has been charged with negligent driving.

No one has heard from the truck company and the police have let the case drag on and on with little concrete action, she claimed

Maybe it was an empty concrete truck and that's why there was little concrete action .

Yeah, that's about as low as you can get. If true, then a proper punishment is warranted. Bad enough that the disabled are helped so little somewhere like this, but to have people actively scamming what little is available, is contemptible. Toss the key away.

Believe me , in Thailand many of those high placed people can get much lower . This person takes it from 1 fund but there are more taking it from many ,all in the name of the wellfare of the Thai people right ? Mr P mr A and puppets .

Roengrudee Patanavanich of Ramathibodi Hospital who is a researcher on tobacco control said that the proposals are bad news for groups wanting to stop smoking and the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

I geuss he has a friend that makes the Thai sigarettes and one that works in taxes . Why doesn't he tell them to legalize e-sigarettes and e-fluids instead never heard him about that .

  5. Maybe they should urge the wealthy Thai that bought property in europe or other places when the baht was very strong to sell those and bring their money back to Thailand and buy land houses and condos . I think this way billions will be brought back as well . But i geuss they are so money horny that they will sell out their own land to foreigners while they can fix the problem themself but will just cost them to much in their mind .

Whilst I welcome healthy debate and at times have agreed to disagree, I find it difficult to do this when a poster posts nonsense.

A good example is the "conspiracy theorists" and no matter how much debate one has with them, it's pretty well useless because they believe in their "conspiracies" (Bill Gates and the Covid virus, vaccines being used to inject nanoparticles of mind altering substances and so on) so I don't see the point in arguing/discussing, in fact if someone is stupid enough to believe that sort of nonsense, then I'm best off not having anything to do with them, so I put some of them on ignore.

I did the same with several trump supporters, because no matter how many times he lied in public, and no matter how many times the actual footage was shown supporting this, they refused to believe it. Then there was the time he was forced to repay about $2.5 million after "misusing" funds collected for a charity, yet although it was all out there for everyone to see and hear, his supporters argued against it on threads like this.

I would gladly have a discussion with anyone and will put forward my points of view, but where the poster doesn't have the intelligence to see that what they are posting is absolute rubbish, proven beyond doubt by all and sundry, then it's not worth it.

This old adage rings true in this case, "it's pointless arguing with idiots because they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience".

If you are arguing you have to argeu with everyone and don't say you will not argeu with idiots and call people idiots because they don't say axactly what you want them to say or say axactly what your saying or thinking . That's the whole point of arguing and i think your hypocrite to just say that . But hey, you must think i am wrong because i am not saying what you want to hear or not thinking the way you are .

Maybe your a cup "half full' guy.

Clearly it wasn't just a once off comment. Had been a few.

From my perch, covid has little effect on me financially etc.

I would rather be talking with farang that are doing charity to assist others than pointing out the discounts available due to covid.

"Positives in a bad situation" spare me.

It is a possitive in a bad situation isn't it ???  Seems to me you are the one making a negative out of a positive . Don't think he meant anything bad with it just stated the fact that the empty roads are a breath of fresh air .

  8. And these investors invest in things owned by the hi-so Thai and will after make money from their investments so the only 2 that will make money are the invester and the wealthy Thai so again nothing for the normal people that are being hit the hardest by this pandemic . Those wealthy people will survive this pandemic , try to look for solutions that will help the most needy first(vaccination and opening up the country). And other things that will help the needy that will not be helped by tourisme or these hi-so scams .

Evidently not. What I get is that you are suggesting that vaccinated people present a greater risk to others than unvaccinated people. Is that what you are saying or not?

To unvaccinated, not to all other people. Damn what's so hard to get about what i said and how i explained it . Vaccinated are a bigger risk to unvaccinated then unvaccinated are to vaccinated what other way is there to explain this .

  10. 1 minute ago, ozimoron said:

That's patently untrue. Please explain why you believe that.

Because unvaccinated people still have a big chance of dying where vaccinated people almost never die from the virus because they are vaccinated so what of what i am saying don't you understand ?? Patently untrue ?? You do umderstand what i am saying right .

You seem to not understand what the vaccine does. Stunning. Terrible to post misinformation.

If a vaccinated person can still get the virus and then spread it to an unvaccinated person that can die from the virus that was transmitted to him by a vaccinated person isn't that vaccinated person more of a risk to that unvaccimated person then when a unvaccinated person gives the virus to a vaccinated person that will not die from the virus anymore because they are vaccinated ???? C'mon Jeffr2 how much clearer can i be ?? So come from under your rock smell the coffee and try to read and understand what another person is writing . If you see this as misinformation then that rock your living under might be to heavy to get you out and you better find a way to enjoy where you staying misunderstanding what other people are saying .

Over 84% of those who have died from COVID-19 in Thailand were not vaccinated, or did not have an official record of vaccination, and 7.2% had received just one vaccine dose, according to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).

So your point is ??? Isn't that axactly what i am saying , vaccinated people are more dangerous to unvaccinated people then the other way around .

    I'm never 100% right.

I know this much, of the 13,000 plus people who died in Thailand from 1 April to 9 September 2021 as reported here om Asean Now 84% were unvaccinated, 60% plus that dies were older than 60 years of age.

Those above who are gone forever didn't stand a chance as Thailand missed the boat when it came to getting vaccines for the country, thanks to both Anutin and Prayout who should have resigned as no one in their right frame of mind would allow people to travel when Delta broke out, so the sole blame has to be theirs, they own it.

The above said, if those above were vaccinated, statistics worldwide show that the death count is and would be down.

We all know the vaccines aren't 100% effective, no vaccine is, but it's like taking antibiotics why do you take them when your sick, because you know that they might make you better, and that is the way I see vaccines, they are protection, not only to you, your family and others.

If you and others think you can fight Covid and be victorious in being immune or creating super antibodies, that is your choice, I and others see an opportunity here to reduce its viral load and spread through vaccinations which also reduce the deaths.

We all have choices, my choice was to get vaxed, your might be to wait and see and if you get it, fight it, that is what choice is all about, but for me, I have done enough research to say to myself, vaccines are the only way out for me, again, it's all about choice.

I got my second jab of pfizer yesterday so i also choose to vaccinate , but that wasn't what i was talking about .

OK, so you accept that the vaccinations do help reduce transmission and you were not trying to suggest otherwise?

No never , but i did suggest that vaccinated people are more dangerous to unvaccinated people the other way around like YOU suggested .

what do you think the word "only" in your sentence actually means?

Means that sometimes people give less reasons then there actually are because maybe they forgot to mention some of them . But it doesn't mean others can accuse them of things they never said .
