?? to be honest, no whores, but a few beers per day, But beers are cheap, like 15,000kip for a big beer Lao.

but hotels, motorbike rent, transportation and restaurants are expensive there, ok it’s not expensive compared to my home country, but to the rest of Southeast Asia.

  2. So I have been traveling arround Southeast Asia, and compared the prices in every country and I find that Laos is the second most expensive country in Southeast Asia after Singapore, my money where gone there really quickly compared to about every other nations except Singapore.

what is the reason for that ??

I feel like tipping 20 bahts is great, even amazing, for most jobs.

Think about that: most Thais get 30 bahts per hour as a salary.

So when someone gives you 20 bahts, almost 1h, then yeah it would be fine.

Tip 10 or 20 bahts if the service is fine.

If it's mediocre or average = no tip.

That's how I see it and it's fair for both parties. 20 bahts isn't much for us, giving it release neurochemicals and makes us feel happy. Thai worker also gets happy because it wll pay half of the price for tonight's Wednesday evening playing cards.

Wrong! The minimum wage is 300++ per day/8h work.

do you really think the whole nation work in 7-11?

Where can I find the original visa application form online and print it out so it fits on a A4, that applies to the Thai consulate in vientiane?

when i goes to their website http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/en/

and try to print out their form it will not fit on a A4, the lowest part ends up on a second A4, I did som mix and trix so the form will fit on a A4, but now the problem is it’s looks weird and my two pictures are to big.... I would like to fill the form and be ready for tomorrow.

I will get a free form at the consulate tomorrow and get it done there ?

I congratulate you on finding Thailand so young - I wish I had.

One option is a Non-O based on volunteer work, which can be part-time.  I spoke to someone who got one in Chang Mai with the use of a local organization plus an agent, and they reported the work-load was minimal (a few hrs/wk planting trees, etc).  Expect to pay paperwork and agent fees for this.  I do not know what other areas have these opportunities available.

Depending on your skills, you might find a job here, which would enable you to qualify for a B-Visa plus extensions-of-stay based on work.

If you have 10M Baht available, you can get an extension here based on investment (must be used to buy new-condos, or put in specified investment-types / bank, etc).  Once the investment is made, and if it is held, the permitted-stay is renewable, annually, forever.

As to continuing as a Tourist:

There are no legal limits on how many times / length-of-time you can be in Thailand per-year on Tourist Visas.  Therefore, as long as you do not violate the terms (working illegally, overstaying), you can do the Tourist-Visa route indefinitely.  The key is to carry 20K Baht worth of cash, and enter Thailand where only the actual laws are followed - avoiding places where Immigration has decided to invent their own limits.  Currently, this means not flying-in or entering via the Poipet/Aranyaprathet border crossing.  All other land-borders are OK, but some may ask to see the 20K Baht worth of cash.

There are special limitations on Visa-Exempt entries, which are granted at the discretion of Immigration.  I would save Visa-Exempts for any time you have a problem getting a Tourist Visa, and only use them to enter by land.  Given your history, I would not try entering Visa-Exempt by air, and would expect possible problems by air even with a Tourist Visa.  Currently, the only land-border which will give you any trouble is the Poipet/Aranyaprathet crossing - avoid it in ALL cases.  The rest will follow the "2 per calendar year" rule (applies to land-border visa-exempt entries), and grant them if that limit has not been reached.

After entering Thailand via a land-border, you can fly domestic-air to reach your destination within Thailand, without having to deal further with Immigration.  For example, entering via Pedang Besar from Malaysia - fly from Hat Yai airport; or entering at Nong Khai - take a van to Udon Thanni airport; etc.  This can save you from marathon bus-trips though, in some cases, sometimes an overnight VIP bus can be the most convenient and comfortable option.

    Alright, thanks for your help??

I’m going for a second tourist visa in Vientiane then, will I be fine enter by land?

since I have only entered Thailand this year on one visa extemptions, does that meen I have 4 left this year?

    ???

  7. My tourist visa extension expires 22 July, wich embassy/consulate are the easiest one to give you a second tourist visa?

i got my last tourist visa in Vientiane 25april if I’m not wrong, previously I have been in and out of Thailand by airplanes to Cambodia twice, Vietnam once, and Malaysia  once (by land)

the trip to to Malaysia,Vietnam and one of the trip to Cambodia was last year.

each time I stayed 3-4 daysin the country before  enter Thailand on visa extemptions wich  I extended each time and total 4 times.

Not easy staying here long term at the age of 25 years old, if you have some recommendation on other options to stay here long term please tell me.

    thank you ????

The Korat immigration office is the designated office where you are required to apply for the extension.

If you stayed overnight someplace else you could use another office if used that address on the TM7 application form.

Perhaps travel to Bangkok and spend the night so you can apply at Chaeng Wattana.

So is it possible for me to stay overnight in a hotel, from tonight to tomorrow in prachin buri, and go to the immigration in prachin buri tomorrow and write the hotels adress on the tm7 form ? If so that will be easier then go to chaeng wattana:-)

Yes I will head to bkk on Monday morning, get extension there.

the immigration officer in Korat advised me to do the same, when she scanned my passport or what she did, my address  showed up in Bangkok.

Why is the immigration in bangkok so much more lax?

But I find the also Krabi,Chiang Mai lax also,2-3 years ago when i stayed there ?

    thanks  a lot ?

  10. I need to extend my TV, a friendly office with minimal  requirements near khao yai?

been to Saraburi, Ayutthaya and Korat they all need so much documentation from me and from the apartment owner wich is unacceptable.

i have only lived here since 26 april, previously I used chaeng watthana(5times) when I lived in Bangkok.and find them easily do deal with only fill out tm7 form few copes off passport,stamp, tm6 and 1900 and things was done.

so any recommend places to get an extension  not to far away ?

Any tips or loopholes will be appreciated:-)

it’s so hard to stay in this country long term because of my age and especially after crackdown on crackdown on crackdown on everything all the time, so there are not many options for me:(
