We have had dry + hot temperatures during the wet season in previous years but not at this time of the year March was fairly normal with a couple of mild storms but April has been too dry. Even though temps are 37-39 during the day we have had only one storm, almost three weeks ago. A couple have passed us by on the other side of the mountain, which is not unusual.

We expect rain every 2-3 days at this time of the year but today i was out with the sprinklers on the front lawn. The new grass that grew after the last storm in now dead.

You are lucky that your Sprinklers are still working. I have two Water Supply Lines with separate Meters, one for Village Water where the Supply died 8 days ago, and one for Government Water where the Water has stopped 3 days ago.Never have had this situation before in the 12 years I'm in Thailand now. Tomorrow hopefully I will get a Watertruck to fill up my Tanks.

The EU has “a lot of” requirements for a Passport Photo even so that they created a special document with all the requirements.

last time I got a new passport in BKK, the picture that was taken in a shop was rejected so I had to get a new picture several times before it was finally accepted.

Does anyone know of a shop in BKK that can do passport pictures that adhere to the EU requirements.

Have done my ones four weeks ago direct in the German Embassy, so no point to reject the pictures.

It might be helpful if you were a little more specific in your enquiry @Tariya. 'Unable to use' is just a little bit vague.

Where the OP has  written "unable to use" ? He is just asking if anyone able to use, what seems to be the case.

Does anyone know if SCB or Kasikorn allows you to convert the USD that's in your Thai bank FCD account to your THB acct online, without having to go into the bank, or without having to phone them? I was with Citibank, and I could always convert online, but my accounts were transferred to UOB last week, and they said I would have to come into the bank each time, or do it by phone. UOB doesn't allow online currency conversions. Thanks.

I have THB and FCD with Bangkok Bank, no problems to make a Transfer online.

He will need to attend immigration for his next extension.

Given that previous extensions were done at CW , I simply suggested he ask if he can do a TM47 at same visit.

Some offices now require a TM47 for application for annual extension.  OK?

Better to read what the OP has written, his next Extension is due February next Year. Till this date he has to file three times a TM47.

He does not need to do it just because of change of address.

However if immigration allow him to make a TM47  that would be useful for next extension.

Some offices (eg CW) now requure TM47 for extension application

Why would it be useful for his next Extension February 2025? If the Landlord is doing the TM30 he just don't has to go to Immigration at all.

Ah so just to be clear. The agent will do the TM 30 for me and give paper confirming it.

As my 90 days from BKK is not due until July I do not need to do my 90 day report until it is due in July and I do that in Pattaya?

Is that right or am I confusing myself?

I don't think you have to do the 90 day now as it is independent where you are stay. And in July I would try Online first. if rejected you still have time to do it in person.

I want to take a van from Bangkok to Hua Hin. Are there any van services from Don Muang Airport?

If not what are the options? I will be traveling on a weekday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

    Thanks

There are 24 Seater VIP Busses from Suvarnabhumi to HH, leaving every Hour. May be just take a transfer Bus from DMK to Suvarnabhumi?

My understanding is you need a payment method loaded/approved in your app profile before you can start charging.  A debit card still might work even when an app might say credit card vs credit/debit card.  Some of the Thai charging apps say credit card but a debit card might still be accepted--you won't know until trying to load a card in the payment area.

Next week I will get my EV, and in preparation for I have started to download same Charger Apps. I find it very annoying how difficult some Apps are making it to register. EA Anywhere was very easy and has taken some few minutes only, but like PEA Volta, Elexa or EV Station Pluz I can't complete for now. Most likely it comes always to a stop when it comes to payment options. PEA I can't top up, Elexa want to have pictures of my Passport and myself and EV Station Pluz requires pre booking. What a joke.
