Hi,can anyone recommend a pool table relocation service in Bangkok please.

I have found one or two on the internet and would like find a few more to compare price and see if anyone has a recommendation.

This is a relocation within central Bangkok for an 8 foot table.

I am trying to find out what the maximum electric rate anyone pays direct to MEA company in Bangkok for residential electric supply.

I am looking at moving in to a new condo and the landlord is asking me to pay 6 baht/unit. I of course want to pay the bill direct.

On the MEA site for residential, time of use tariff, I can find this:

12 - 24 kV. on peak :3.6246 baht/KWhour + monthly service charge 228.17

Below 12 kV. on peak :4.3093 baht/KWhour + monthly service charge 57.95

does any one have experience of any higher genuine rate from MEA?

I currently pay my bill directly to MEA and I have never got to a rate above 3.9 Baht/unit (I just take total bill including service charge / total units for this calc).

Just want to check I am being ripped off and by how much as it looks like he is adding almost 33.3% to the bill

can anyone advise which shops are still selling platinum wedding rings. I have tried a few shop that sold them a couple of years ago but they all seem to have stopped selling them.

It sounds like I had the same Filipino lady call me 3 or 4 times a couple of months ago.

They try to get you to agree to accept a free news letter.

It is tied to financial industry and you will get a farang financial adviser call you eventually.

I dont know if it is legal to cold call to sell financial services in Thailand but I know it is illegal in some Asian countries(e.g. Malaysia, Korea).

The first call may be an attempt to get around the legal constraints so the adviser can call you.

I told them i was not interested on all occasions and the kept trying. All quiet now.

My 2 colleagues sat in same office got the same call immediately after me so it must be from an office phone list they somehow obtained.

I have used 12-call pay as you go service for many months and just in the last week I have started getting an annoying messages coming in several times a day. It says 'message cannot be displayed' and is from a number 900414 (which is not a valid phone number).

My phone is a very basic nokia and I cant receive anything but basic text messages.

Has anyone had the same issue? Does anyone know what this message is and how to stop it.

I am assuming it is an MMS or some sort of graphics message that cannot be displayed. I also assume it is junk mail from 12-call..

also sorry to piggy back.. but does anyone know the procedure to retrieve registered mail... it was apparently brought to my apartment but the receptionist did not sign for it and it has gone back with the post man... of course I can try the local post office but wondered if anyone has gone through this already...

10/10 for me too.I downloaded an application form for a new passport and sent it by recorded post and 6 days later the passport arrived with a nice letter attached.

Just to confirm the post office at Nana is open 9am - 5pm every day including sat and sun according to the opening hours sign there.

Mon-Fri it is open 8:30am - 7pm.

I saw Phuket beer in the Villa Supermarket on Soi 11 tonight, they have quite a few others as well so you might be able to get the Cambodian/Anchor there but I did not notice if they were there tonight...

I tried them last night and they were pretty good, the price is significantly cheaper than other services as they dont charge any delivery charge or markup on the eat in menu price of the restaurant/bar.

just wondered if anyone has used the online immigration service and what results they got.

I just used it to make an appointment for an extension of temporary stay. Filled out the form and printed it already for handing in. Asked for an appointment tomorrow.. it did say that it usually takes one business day so maybe I wont get my appointment in time.

I am hoping I get an appointment and I dont have to queue up - as it mentions a counter number for the appointment..

any views or this ?
