But, I understand a 10 to 20 b increase in something can be a possible deal breaker.
you don't understand it. it's not the price increase, it's the quality/value that is now unequal

I'm here 8 years, somehow found the love of my life, never looked for. I'm 31 years young, my wife is 34, well educated.
I won't stay here another 5 years.
putting 11,600 EUR in a bankaccount just to extend my visa another year. it drives me nutz.
had a Co. LTD, Thailand still owns me 600,000 THB VAT refund. most likely i'll never get them.corruption is a deal breaker.
i'm from germany, i believe in a free world, the government makes me sick. it affects everydays life (see the 600k refund. i can get around 30% of it, if the other 70% goes to the revenue department worker - under the table). you get scammed on every corner. i got scammed and police didn't care about it (we bought bunch of hardware and one guy didn't deliver the goods). the traffic. the <deleted> traffic. it drives me sick. on weekends i don't even wanna leave my house anymore and spend time in the car. zero joy. (i live in samut prakarn).
the food - i never liked the cheap thai food, so eat western food most likely. can't wait to go somewhere else and get good quality food. the quality of restaurants is pathetic! i don't go there since a year. i just get food delivery of my favorite vegan restaurants every 2 days and live with that.
i'm done with thailand. would have had left 2 years ago, but still have my wife - and 4 dogs. she also gets sick of doing the same stuff in her company for the last 11 years. it's time to prepare and find something somewhere else. maybe canada, maybe US, somewhere else. i dont' know. but everywhere is better than this shit hole.i can't wait - in 6 months the immigration police is visiting me again, doing dumbfuck photos of me sitting on my bed and the sofa, interviewing my neighbors. <deleted> this shit. i'm really done.
thailand once was great, the first 2-3 years was real fun. but i'm getting older, the fun gets less. just living here sucks for me.
once thailand was so cheap - qualityt didn't matter. now it's getting expensive, so the value isn't good anymore. this will sum up the whole country.

Yeah.... I'm just curious if anyone ever received an honest apology.
yes. plenty of times when my wife realizes the next day that she was wrong and i was right. her emotions go through the roof in evening, next day she just goes for honest apologies.

in law, there is always a chance to change.
and let's not forget: innocent unless guilty. seriously. there been cases where stuff like this had been made up. it's rare but it happened/

There are times when I sometimes wish that the judicial system had punishments that justly fitted the crime and this is one of them. Banging him up in prison doesn't seem remotely harsh enough. Options of the type used in the Spanish Inquisition, involving serious pain might be more appropriate for such a low life scumbag.
the judical system sometimes isn't there to punish people, but simply to protect society from them. certain crimes can't be equalized with any punishment (death penalty ain't punishments at all). torture is against any human right and unacceptable.

you guys really think that there is such an insane amount of gay sex in prisons around the world? you should stop listen stories and just stay there a bit.

It's a shame that the Thai jails are not like the Latin American ones as if the cons already inside got wind of his crimes he would (deservedly) suffer the most agonizing and brutal death at their hands.
It would be interesting to know when he is convicted, just so we can be sure the punishment will fit the crime as it rarely seems to here
how much i hate those statements.
so if somebody raped somebody, he deserves a brutal death in jail by inmates stabbing and torturing him?
ok, go ahead and tell me punishments for those drug addicts who make a robbery to grandmas house to steal 250$ and she died via heartattack. also i need to know the punishment for those who killed somebody accidentally and also those who killed somebody, motivated by love-drama.
last but not least: the drugdealer who punched the cocain to a dirty degree and a few customers died.
i'm willing to listen to your idea of the law system.

my first marriage was in a registry office, with 2 witnesses, then off to a Chinese then back to work, lasted
20 odd years so i suppose i got my monies worth
our marriage also been at the wedding registry office. 2 witnesses and off to MK restaurant. it's 1.5 years ago. always wanted to give my wife a nice wedding and i also wanted to have it for myself. now we are doing it.
our wedding rings are 20k thb only, there wasn't any engagement ring. sinsod was 0 thb and there won't be any more. the wedding is indeed expensive, because it's very nice. the buffet is expensive. but it's totally worth for me.

it's our big day. i have 25 people flying from all over the world. i bring a total of 32 people, she brings 50. we are just 82 total.
it's on a beach.
we rented the poolvilla, we have a DJ, we have drinks. yes, after the buffet we are going to have a pool-wedding-party.
the bridesmaids all have a bikini wih team bride print.
my wife and me have own bathrobes. i think our wedding is quite special.
since i paid already 12k for the suit, i think there is no going back anymore, i do appreciate your feedback tho

Try Moscow or Bucharest. I don't think that style is very popular outside the former Eastern Bloc. Maybe burroughs of New York City.
i found something like the top middle one at Narrys. decided to make the trousers in the same as the jacket. just can't decide if black shirt or white shirt or rose shirt .
right now i did black shirt, will see on wednesday how that turns out. if not, then i'll make a bright shirt aswell. let's see how my wife will react on wedding day ????

I have seen country clubs do it, as they are charging bottle prices to the party goers, but charging double or triple per bottle. Just have a guy on standby to make the run...have cold beers on hand....the relatives of the bride are known for walking out with full bottles...
most of them won't even attend the party as it seems to be too late for them ????

To be honest i've never heard of returning unused (opened or unopened) alcohol anywhere in the world.
But it seems it does happen in some places.
Just a quick thought, just idle curiosity, if the liquor shop takes back say 10 half full or one quarter full bottles of whisky what does the liquor shop do with it?
literally every shop in germany does it. you buy 100 bottles, only opened 70 and they'll take 30 back the day after or a week later and return you the money. and they just sell it to the next guy.
opened bottles can't get taken back.
-
yes, that's what i mean. the shop can overwatch our wedding party. if we hold a wedding party at a 5 star hotel, we won't try to cheat them for 20k and return them fake alcohol. lel
-
i just wanna buy 20L Vodka, 20L whisky and the unused/unopened bottles should be picked up a day later and then refund me accordingly.
i don't wanna have not enough booze on the wedding but i also don't wanna keep 20 bottles for the next 20 years as i don't drink them and neither does my wife.
-
We host a wedding party in pattaya in march and since i don't drink any alcohol, i have no clue how much i should buy for those party people. I remember that back in germany, you just go to any drink related shop, buy a shitload of booze and they'll happily accept returns after your party.
If i spend 50k on alcohol, i don't wanna spend 30k more for unused bottles which i then can donate to charity.
Does anybody know a legit shop? Bangkok or Pattaya area (we live in BKK, but wedding is hold in pattaya)
