Maybe the other bad reviewers had already left Thailand

Maybe there would have been more bad reviews. Many people who travel through Thailand know how dangerous it is to post honest reviews that are negative. The hotel should have just ignored his reviews. There was no damage done to the hotel if they had many positive reviews. The hotel management went too far. They actually hurt the reputation of the poster. This law is a double sided blade. It can cut both ways.

  2. DTAC sent me an sms on Sunday 22 May saying there are no problems at their end.

On Monday morning, another caller couldn't reach me.

It must be my phone, I guess.

By the way, this thread is about receiving calls on mobile phones, it is not about mobile internet. Thank you. :jap:

Had dinner with a friend last night who has AIS. Another at dinner also has AIS. They had a 4 hour gap in one of them sending to the other a SMS. I have dtac and so at dinner sent a sms to one of them. Received in 2 minutes. He said "It must be my phone, I guess" also.

Could it have to do with companies adding equipment to handle 3G?

  3. I have the same or similar question. I have both True for my iphone and I have an AIS account. Either SIM card will work. True 3G seems only available in some areas of Pattaya and on a recent trip up to Northern Thailand, I switched in my AIS SIM because TRUE seemed so slow.

I am still trying to find out which works best with my iphone. I don't even know if there is a difference. If not, or minimal, I would keep AIS since I have had the same number for several years.

  4. I've been there several times now. Power Boys was OK, the Cabaret show was boring (but that's just me), it looked OK, though the dodgy sound system made the lip syncing look odd. The staff, though plentiful, were poorly trained and swarming like fly's to the point of being annoying (especially in the bathroom). As to anything else, this is not the right forum to comment on the more sexual aspects of the place :) but they were quite mediocre compared with elsewhere. I understand it can get quite raunchy round the pool in the afternoon and some of the massage staff are available to provide other services. As to the food: it will be a very long time before I go and eat there again, nuff said.

I am surprised that anyone who does not feel a place is up to par would continue to go there "several" times.

    Where is the Red Lion?

  5. Thank you Weho......by the way, CRWEHO was my auto license plate in America....Weho stood fro West Hollywood

When I had my household furntiure shipped from the USA I shipped a nice new Weber Stainless BBQ grill. The propane tanks they have here in Thailand and those in the USA must be different becaause the tank requlator for the propane won't connect to the Thai propane. I could cut the hose and try a fit a different regulator I suppose...not sure...anyone else have an idea. The BBQ I brought was a bit expensive so I'd like to use it. Thanks

If it was expensive over in Amerigay, it will probably cost double or triple here... for some reason, they don't manufacture MADE IN THAILAND quality bbqs... I got one, good quality, made in Australia, at the Siam Paragon Department store in bangkok... it was on sale for 17,000 baht... a similar one in Amerigay probably would have cost less than half.

I would suggest whoever fits the hose/regulator, make certain, CERTAIN that it is done properly... the way to test, as I recally, is to extinguish all flames, smoking materials, etc... make a watery/soap solution, and put it all along the hose, valves, connections, regulator etc... then turn on the gas, and see if any bubbles come out anywhere... If not, it's a good connection... wipe off the soapy solution, and fire away.

There is a bbq store on Tepprasit Road, maybe mid-way down, on the SOUTH side of the street, on a corner, i think with a blue and white sign... maybe they can advise you properly.
