  1. claim they are doing so to reduce consumption and hence benefit the community.

fewer smokers = fewer deaths , disabilities and family bereavements from lung and heart disease.

lower alcohol consumption = fewer road deaths and fewer alcohol related crimes (such as rape , crimes of violence and spousal abuse.)

community benefits dont come much better than that.

Cigarettes have inelastic demand curves, price changes have little effect on demand.

Governments the world over love to claim they are trying to help us, but economic theory proves they are bullshitting us..............

If we all stopped drinking and smoking they'd be in a right mess when it comes to tax collection.

  2. Sorry for most people here on visa extention basis, but do you think you can stay in US, Canada, Germany or any other "civilized" contry for more than 90 days? I do not think so. Shame to layers telling everyone "yes you can", knowing that they break the law.

Yes I can.. All over the world long stay visas are made available eaiser than I can get them here..

I applied for a visa to explore the USA and they gave me a 10 year one when I asked for a 1 year.. NZ / OZ all pretty simple with clearly laid out laws which dont change on a whim. Europe I just arrive..

Yalor, my coleage just visit customer purpose, also get 10 year visa of U.S.

  3. I have do some research of Taxation. Country Malaysia, Japan and Thailand taxation need to payable is almost equal one month income have to payable by tax per year. Which means 12month salary need pay out one month to Income Tax Department. But once over 50,00baht per month, Thailand will chargeble 20%!!! :o means need pay out at least two month salary per year. Because my employee some not thais, so they din't allow to exempt spouse, children, etc.

Is that really need pay 20% of the Personal Income Tax. :D Which means have two month work is work for Goverment.

  4. frm_pnd50.pdf

While Doyle's Practical Guide to business in Thailand appears to be an excellent reference, it does not contain this particular document in English or in Thai (only has Por Por 30 & Por Por 36).

Please, does anyone know where I can find an English translation of the Withholding Tax Certificate (tax deduction according to section 50 of the Revenue Code)?

    Many thanks, Misty

I have sucess search and save some translation Tax form. But i can't review where i save it :o . You try searching GBS Accounting Website, or www.rd.co.th (revenue dept thailand). Hopefully that can help you. :D
