75 pages of visa run alternatives, amazing, didn't think there would be anywhere near that many.

I haven't read that one has to show where they got the 800000 from. I'm not saying they don't, but where is it written?

Here we go again.

Farang, unions, can't get much further off topic. Perhaps the brakes failed on his car once.

I'm a bit surprised by positive replies. A family member asks for advice for UK national banged up for overstay and has zero funds. Why can't that family member approach other family/friends to pay overstay and flight. More simple start a gofundme.
I look forward to the day when I'm asked to contribute to a gofundme. "Ask the Salvos"

I take out travel ins, can take it for up to a year, BUt, it expires if I return to Oz during that time. As I go back a few times a year to monitor my multiple corporations I run, I take it out for 4 or 5 months at a time, if decide to stay here for longer, I extent the ins . Extension must be done before the policy expires. Doubt if this will satisfy IO unless t is for the full12 months. Flight Centre, Covermore Ins.

Another million posts about nothing ,just, what if, maby, why don't they, I recon, . For something, in writing from the Oz Dept of Foriegn Affairs and Trade, I wrote them a month ago, got their reply today. Very interesting info. You can contact them yourself so I can't be accused of being a troll, with the faries or any of the other names the ill informed have called me, the Cleverman,. P.S. Man is singular, men as in madmen is plural, doesn't make sense.P.s. My querie to the Oz Govt was concerning stat decs and certification of documents.

Thanks for posting that.
All unofficial at this point, since it hasn't been formally announced by Immigration. But what you describe above very much sounds like the way many of us were expecting Immigration to go on the issue of monthly income documentation.
So, if the above is correct, then as many have feared, this will rule out keeping money in applicants' home bank accounts and then being able to show home country documents such as government pension statements, military pension statements, Social Security, bank interest, etc etc.
e information I got is that they will still accept the income letters from the embassies. ". UN quote.

As they'll get a cut from the agents fees, the just turn a blind eye.
They are trying to close loopholes, and out come the Thai bashers. Why do you lot stay here ?

My understanding is that the money does not stay in the bank longer than it takes the bank manager to write the letter.
In my opinion, if io saw the money go in,then out same day, then go in again 30 days later, they may think something just ain't right. Now, that is just my opinion,I don't claim it is fact so, no abuse please.

For an agent to put 800000 in your bank for 30 days ,money lenders rates are 10 percent a week ,compounded. That was what a Thai told me.

And your contribution to this thread is more useless.
You would not qualify I assume.
Sorry if my post scares you.
But, when I am right make sure you tell me what a genius I am.
Thanks. Good luck and Happy New Year!
Give me one example of a useless post of mine.

My friend at Immigration told me it should be this month.
My opinion is that it will be simplified. Show 65,000 b ( or whatever amount they decide) going into a Thai Bank account every month, or the 800,000 b route. I do not think they will make you verify where the 65,000 b is coming from as long as it is in going your Thai account.
No way can they have a verification of income table at immigration.
The people who cannot show the 65,000 have the option of nothing or going to an agent who I am sure will be able to manipulate an account to show the 65,000 as the do now for the 800,000. With this, Immigration does not care and actually encourages this as it is big money for them. They like agents for the money, 99% of the time their paperwork is in order, and they do not have to hassle with farang verbal BS at the desks.
We will se soon should be interesting..
Your post is more guess work that has ever been posted before. Absolutely useless .

Same as the bank document that i would get from the Bangkok bank as proof of funds, only valid the instant it is written. As far i am aware the Embassy take on the request from Thai Immigration is: NO we cannot prove funds and will not, so we will withdraw the service we offer completely. Diplomatic way of saying If you don't like it then <deleted> Off. And also understandingly Thai immigration can probably read a Stat Dec knowing that it means no more than an empty/false statement on a piece of paper with a couple of autographs on.
thanks for helping
Shaemus
Very interesting. I am sorry, but, " as far as I am aware" , is not conclusive proof of what you say.

Nothing illegal about stat decs, how did you come to that conclusion?
Go to www.gov.au. Stat decs in Thailand about a persons income mean nothing, they are invalid, also, confirmed by Oz Consul Phuket. Cleverman does not make false statements or mistakes.

Embassy income letters are valid at Immigration for 6 months.
I do believe this has been mentioned several times. You should add "currently"

Why do you need to pull it back
Letter is good for 6 months.
Last day is the 7th BUT I just checked the website and appears that there are no more appointment slots available after the 2nd at 9am so you better get on there quick!
https://thailand.embassy.gov.au/Nobody can say that the letter will be accepted up to 6 months. Those of us who know Thailand know that nothing can be taken for granted. Do it ASAP to be safe. Oz embassy may even change their ruling about certifying documents that prove income when they stop the illegal practice of stat decs.

Well well I see that hypotheticating various revolving door workarounds is still popular pastime.
Assuming all goes as suggested by the US Consular General in his interview, I would say that the IMM HQ on Suan Phlu would have these reactions:
1. They are unaware that there are various possible workarounds to their 65K+ FTT-type monthly deposit scheme.
2. They have concocted one or more methodologies to make such workarounds impractical or (by formal statement signed by the would-be workaround perpetrator) illegal.
3. They are aware of such workarounds but they really could not care less if someone feels the need to do so.
What's that you say about "hypotheticating".

Thais don't want us or our pensions. We come over here; marry their women; take care of their abandoned children; build houses through local 'craftsmen' (ahem); buy cars from local garages; drink expensive spirits available nearby; support supermarkets by buying over-priced foreign goods; support the local police; get no justice in Thai courts.
I know when I'm not wanted; looking hard at Vietnam.
Tell the 4 Ozzies to go to the embassy or their consul and ask there If they will certify documents proving income after they cut off the stat decs. Don't take any notice of anything you may be told on here about that matter. Tell them to just do it.

MC/Visa Debit card? But, as backup, perhaps a good reason to setup DeeMoney and/or a crypto-currency exchange linked to one's Thai account.

90 day reporting
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Why didn't someone tell me that I would have to report every 90 days? If I had of known, then I wouldn't have moved here. If I did know and still moved here then I would have nothing to complain about. Would I?
