Hi to everybody!
Last year I made three VEE into Thailand in the month of August and I came back to my home country. Now I am going to come back on July 2019. This entry will be less than 30 days. I have read something related to air entries related to a "calendar year" and I really don't know what it refers. It is also possible that I come back again in December 2019. Should I think about getting a Multiple tourist visa although my entries are less than 30 days?
Thank you in advance,

It really seems that in DMK they are enforcing the old rule about 90 days in 180 days period by themselves, isn’t it? It is not the first report that I read talking about this.

If someone is living during VEE in a friend's home. Should we prepare a letter from our Thai host to show if required?

So, it seems something that some embassies have not corrected at all. Thank you so much for the help, Joe. Useful as usual! ?

That is incorrect info. The are referring to the 90 days in 6 month rule that was rescinded in 2008 when the 15 day entry rule at land border crossings (also rescinded now) went into effect. They have never gotten the message about that old rule being rescinded.
Trying to search some information about this topic, I have found that the Thai Embassy in Madrid (Spain) also says something related to the 90 days stuff. I quote to you the Spanish sentence and I translate it into English. What do you think about this?
Spanish version
"Los extranjeros que ingresen al Reino bajo la categoría de Exención de Visa de Turista pueden reingresar y permanecer en Tailandia
por un período acumulativo de hasta 90 días dentro de un período de 6 meses contados a partir de la fecha de la primera entrada."
English version
"Foreigners who enter the Kingdom under the Tourist Visa Exemption category can re-enter and stay in Thailand for a cumulative period of up to 90 days within a period of 6 months counted from the date of the first entry."

Actually after a search I'll recant and amend that statement.
There does appear a to be a rule of 3 VEE entries by air within a 6 month period.
30-day Visa Exemption Scheme
Passport holders of the countries eligible for Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 30 days on each visit (please click on the list for more details).
Foreigners who enter Thailand under this Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme may only do so for 30 days at one time with a maximum of 3 times in a 6-month period by flight and 2 times a year for overland crossing.

But take into account that VEE can be extended at Immigration Offices for 30 days more. So, if you summarize 3 VEE and 3 extensions of stay, we have the 180 days (6 months) you were talking about.

Today is 7 August 2018, so I don't quite understand the dates in the second part of your post related to the visa exempt entries.
I suppose he is on his first exemption

Hi to everybody!
A friend of mine is going to come back to Thailand with me under visa exemption for 28 days and travel around. She has worked in Thailand and she left from Suvarnabhumi without any problem. Her company cancelled her Work Permit after she left (so no overstay involved), but she has not cancelled her extension of stay. She could do it without any problem. It was July 2017.
My question is if she could face any question in Suvarnabhumi when she wants to enter under Visa exemption next month.
Thanks in advance

Thank you for the information and the advice, BritTim

Hi to everyone!
I write to you only to make me sure about the possibilities I can face in my next tourist travel to Thailand.
Last year I quit my job from a Thai University. They have cancelled my work permit on time after I left Thailand. I left the country last July 2017 without any problems and I didn't need a confirmation letter about quiting my job (My last single reentry permit was stamped as used. I left from Suvarnabhumi and my previous extension of stay is expired).
This month of August I am going to come back as a tourist (28 days of stay with two travels in between of 3 and 3 days each one (Cambodia and Vietnam). I am going to use visa exemptions because I am from Spain.
Could I have any problems in immigration? Is there any rule about the number of visa exemption we can use entering Thailand?
Thanks in advance
Question about TM30
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Hi to everyone!
I have a question about TM30. Does immigration at the airports like Suvarnabhumi really enforce TM30 when people is going out of Thailand? A friend of mine is receiving family from Europe and they are staying at his condo during 7 days. Does he really need to sign TM30 for them?
Thanks in advance
